Yes, you should receive a refund for the time remaining in your previous visa. Be aware that it can take up to 6 weeks to receive the money in your account.

Re: Change in home address

Thank you for your reply! I am moving out in a next couple days and have recently applied for my visa and due to the whole covid situation I am not sure how long is the application going to take. I will not have a permanent address once I move out as I mentioned I will be staying at a friends and c...

Re: Change in home address

According to what you are saying, you will stay in your current address until your BRP arrives, is that right? In that case you don't need to worry about it yet. After you receive your BRP and move in to your new place, you need to fill a change of circumstances form (change of address) notifying th...

IHS refunds can take up to 6 weeks from the date you pay the new IHS.

If you haven't received any payment within 6 weeks, you can contact UKVI: https://www.gov.uk/contact-ukvi-inside- ... extensions

Hope it helps!

Re: Right-to-work service

The right to work website will show that status until the current BRP expires or the applicant get a new job (and a new BRP). It is not a good idea to travel abroad after being made redundant. Apart from the UKVI and their license, the obligation of a company to report any redundancy to the HO also ...

You need a Unrestricted CoS as you are already in the UK. Restricted CoS are for: see (https://www.gov.uk/uk-visa-sponsorship-employers/sponsorship-certificates) - Tier 2 (General) workers currently abroad who’ll be paid less than £159,600 a year and are not in an inward investment post - family mem...

There are new company and in the progress of helping me to get Tier 2 sponsor. That is why they did not know a lot. I need to search and ask around and inform them. Re: IHS surcharge refund due to redundancy

You should be able to receive an IHS refund for the time remaining in your old visa, the same happened to me and I got a refund earlier this year.

Just to update on a few things: Furlough is not possible at all - company wide policy hence would not make special cases for visa holders How long does it take to receive the curtailment letter? Can any share some insights here, esp for the folks that waited or have been waiting this year. Good to ...

Re: Query for passport expiry with valid BRP (Tier 2)

It doesn't matter if your passport expires while you're a valid BRP holder. An expired passport (or due to expire soon) only prevents you to travel abroad. It doesn't affect any future ILR application either.

As long as you apply for a new one once your embassy opens again you'll be fine.

Re: Tier 2 redundancies

I already sent an email to HO (CIH@homeoffice.gov.uk) explaining the situation. I think rules might change if HO receives lots of email from people. Maybe not, but it will take 5 mins. There is a website with petitions to the Parliament where you can submit or sign petitions to the government. I ha...

Agree with the comment above, despite completely understandable your worry, it is a duty of the company to be clear and compliant with all the rules when hiring someone under a Tier 2. As the subject of the post mentions salary rates and you are worrying about that too, I can say that it does not ma...

Re: Communication address change after Visa Application

They can arrange a redelivery to your new address. The letter you received from the first attempt includes instructions about how to request this. I did that last year with my first BRP. Another option would be going to the offices of the courier company (DX) and collect the BRP in person, but most ...

Yes, you have to pay the IHS for the whole period again. However the money you paid for the previous application will be refunded to you pro rata to the remaining time.

Plus when you apply for the visa you need to show that you have already paid your tuition fees, or that you have the money to do so, plus that you have enough money for 9 months' living costs. Well, hopefully @peterrowe10 is aware of this. The only way someone can come to the UK (or any other count...

CR001 is right, a curtailment letter is sent only if you have time remaining on your visa... sorry, my bad! this isolation is having secondary effects. :?

In this case, you must apply before your visa expires.

Cheers!

Re: Part-time Tier 4 postgraduates not allowed to work?

You are not fully understanding the purpose of the 4-tier part-time student visa. It is a new visa that did not exist before, created to address the specific needs of some distance/part-time students, to ease their lives instead of having to apply for short-term visitor visas every few months. Good...

Yes, They initially gave me a CoS with SOC code 3113. But I told them to generate a new one with SOC code 2123 because I read that for Tier 2 the job should be atleast RQF level 6. Now I am not sure whether NHS is allowed to hire even on RQF level 3 or not I believe the NHS has some kind of flexibi...

Do you have any idea whether there will be any excpetion due to the coronavirus.
