Re: Made redundant on Tier 2

Hi vtox, I apologise for not responding quicker, I have been very ill recently and away of any internet. I will try to answer your questions based on my experience: 1) how long time I have once the company has informed the home office? It depends on the Home Office. In my case, I waited for more tha...

Re: Made redundant on Tier 2

I also contacted the Home Office by phone and they told me that the money I paid for the IHS with my first application will be refunded for the time remaining after I receive the new BRP. Worth to mention that I paid £200 per year for 3 years, and now the IHS is £400 a year. By the way, I can confi...

Re: Tier 2 General super priority service

To check if your BRP was with DX Delivery, you can call them on 0300 222 0000 and request them if they have any update on your BRP. Tell them that you are expecting a delivery. They might ask for delivery expecting full name, address (in some cases DOB). Thanks for this info. I did this and guess w...

I checked spam email.. Nothing there. This waiting is really crazy. Just we had a lot of money in holiday.. Re: Tier 2 General super priority service

As I know, they never give information regarding an application by phone. I read that some people don't receive email... Just letter... But we still don't have email or letter... Its been more than week. Not sure if you have done so, but check your spam folder. My approval email from the Home Office...

Re: Is getting hired much easier with Tier 4 Visa / UK MA degree?

Any tips? The company sponsorship list is enormous to navigate.... I do not have a specialised Tech or Science background, nor do I have management experience. (I'm a mid-level designer with related work experience in US) Don't waste time revising the Register of Sponsors, there are more than 30,00...

Re: Tier 2 General super priority service

Hi all, I have question. Used super priority for Tier2, visit Croydon in Monday 13th January, at the afternoon they ask for one more paper, which the company already gave it. But I didn't hear from them. No email, no letter. Tried to call them on Friday 17th, they told me to wait for Monday 20th......

I am doing the same process and still waiting. I attended my appointment (priority) on 9 January, received the approval email on 13 Jan and haven't received my new BRP yet. According to the opinions posted on the other thread, this time can vary in every case. When I applied for my first BRP (switch...

I waited for that letter for more than 5 months, since July 2019 until December 2019, and never received anything.

This waiting time is completely unpredictable.

The Migration Advisory Committee has already found that this is not the case, and the government said in the December 2018 immigration white paper that they intend to get rid of the RLMT for all skilled worker application. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/the-uks-future-skills-based-immig...

Re: Tier 4 and the two-year post-study work visa

Well, I don't know if companies being exempted of the RLMT would be a wise thing. This will put UK and EU candidates in a big disadvantage, which would be very unpopular and widely counterproductive. We need to wait for the government's announcement about the programme to get a better idea. Let's se...

Wow! People in the UK (even the Royals!) wanting to move and live in Canada and you want to come to the UK, what a paradox!... just kidding! ( but still a truth ) If you don't want to do another Master, how do you want to get the post-study permit? I mean, a full-time Master in the UK lasts one year...

Also based on what you are saying looks very edgy if some people get curtailment letter earlier than other it literally is luck. Also you say "IT professionals appear on the shortage occupation list" but honestly out of all the product companies I have been in touch with in last 4.5 years...

Re: Sopra Steria free appointment slots

It's very hard to find free appointments. I was lucky enough to find one at the UKVCAS centre in Croydon on 7 January for the 9, two days after I accessed the website. But that's a very rare case according to what I've seen. As per the previous post, if we pay thousands of pounds for our application...

Re: (non EU) Germany to UK on Tier 2 worth it?

In-fact I was less concerned about supporting oneself financially but more about being able to find a sponsored job in the available time as that will decide whether some can continue to reside in UK or not. According to the HO, when you lose your job, you will receive a curtailment of leave on you...

Re: (non EU) Germany to UK on Tier 2 worth it?

Yes the size of company does not matter. I was saying that proportionally companies who have sponsorship licence for UK are much less than the ones who don't have and that comparatively bigger companies might have sponsorship license compared to smaller ones (as they might want to cut down cost as ...

Re: (non EU) Germany to UK on Tier 2 worth it?

3] May be future points based immigration system after Brexit would open more doors as skilled workers would be needed in higher proportion than they are currently (again speculation based on loss of access to EU?) This can't be predicted at all (opening more doors for non-EU workers) as many thing...

Thanks for your reply.

Well, I attended the appointment and I can confirm that you don't need to print out the confirmation letter.

They can read the QR code and other details of your appointment directly from your phone.
