Re: UK visit visa for my mom refused

You still need to address what is stated in the letter. However I didn’t include that she has landed properties. You should have included these. The ties to the country are not only family related, it's a combination of financial and personal factors. Most of the rejections posted here have the same...

Re: eVisa for my partner showing dependant instead of settled

That people are not HO advisors, they are part of a third party company and usually provide generic advice. The figure of an ILR dependant does not exist. This eVisa system is not fully live and still subject to errors, several have reported similar situations. Eventually the status of your partner ...

Re: What should be my BRP valid until date?

The application form asks for your BRP (the card) validity until date as you rightly pointed out, not the date until of your leave - two different things. The input here should be 31-12-2024. It's not clear if you already submitted the application or not. If that's the case, you cannot make changes ...

Re: Documents submission for ILR

Note that the scanning and uploading documents at the UKVCAS centre is a paid service. Personally I think that's a waste of money, and time. If you don't have access to a scanner or a good camera, you can go to your local library and tell them you want to scan some documents. This service is usually...

I have applied for naturalisation and it's in progress. My eVisa for ILR require renewal end of the year. Do I still proceed to apply for eVisa or wait for my naturalisation to be completed, since its in progress?
Have you received an email from the Home Office to get access to an eVisa?

What do you mean with "correct category for Graduate visa applicants’ dependents"? The category/visa route is Graduate visa route. The vast majority of international students in the UK fill and submit their Graduate applications themselves without any lawyer. The details including eligibil...

Re: eVisa for my partner showing dependant instead of settled

There are a number of issues reported with this new eVisa system. The platform has just started to be rolled out and it's subject to this sort of situations. Sometimes after we get approved a new leave - including ILR - the status online is not updated immediately so it can take several weeks (or ev...

As a non-visa national, you already travelled last month with an expired BRP and your Canadian passport with no issues. https://www.immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=348225 The same should apply for any travel abroad between now and 31-12-2024. I personally would not apply for any BRP ca...

Re: BRP ILR card

I guess your Canadian passport helped you to board the flight back to the UK, and airline staff didn't care much about the expired BRP. A visa national travelling with an expired BRP might face a different and potentially unpleasant situation. UKVI is recommending to still use the physical BRP card ...

Re: Travelling to Turkey with 2 months left on BRP

You might need to secure another visa e.g. Graduate or Skilled worker before travelling abroad - if you want to come back to the UK after the trip. According to what you posted here, the HO is clearly saying that your leave was curtailed and you will not be able to re-enter the UK if you travel outs...

My absences have been Year 1 250+ days Year 2 250+ days Year 3 300+ days These absences indicate that you basically have not been living in the UK since you were granted a visa. The Home Office/UKVI is still advising to use a BRP card as usual, including for travelling, to those who already have one or who were offered to be issued with one. Airline/carrier staff in the UK - or elsewhere where they are - can say that it's ok to travel back with an eVisa registration only, b...

A good alternative for a photo ID in the UK is a provisional driving licence https://www.gov.uk/apply-first-provisional-driving-licence#content No need to have a car or even to know how to drive to apply. As immigrants, we're NOT required to have our BRPs with us all the time - nobody will stop us a...

Re: UK Visitor Visa Refusal for dad and sister

The role of the sponsor in a visitors visa application is complementary, it's the main applicant who needs to demonstrate strong financial and personal ties to the home country. I personally would use a regular savings or current account as evidence for this purpose, and not an ISA account. Also the...
