After appeal allowed it can take around 6 months to get you passport back with Visa. 2 months for determination and then as Batly Khan Said 3 to 5 months for Visa stamp after submitting passport. I would also suggest apply again after removing/explain the objection. Of course it is expensive as applying again but that is really quick as now a day’s BHC processing fresh application within one month. INS your mother in law will get it.

i think Collection time is from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
did you get any call to get passport or just wanted to check it ?
now days its not that much rush in VAC esp for passport collection.
