Re: Document Checklist

Thank you seagul for your response.

So do I apply as salaried or non-salaried as I get a fixed amount with bonus? Regardless of how much bonus is, my fixed amount would stay the same.

I’m thinking salaried...? I can explain bonus in cover letter or ask work to provide that in their letter.

Hi all Sorry for not continuing on my old post, I'm using the web version and not sure how to find it. I was wondering if anyone can give me feedback on the documents I will be collecting. I will be Cat A, salaried. I am paid a fixed basic salary of £1570.83 each month. I used to do overtime, but no...

Re: Spousal Support Letter

Thank you. Yes, we got legally married in Morocco. Was a very lengthy and gruelling process. But we’ve got our certificates and stamps in Arabic. Yes, I plan to get him to make an appointment next month/May for his TB test. Is there an expiry date for TB results? Is it 6 months? Also, the English A1...

Re: Spousal Support Letter

Hello, I have a few questions hoping somebody could clarify for me. I got married in Morocco September 2019, I haven’t given notice to any official government body in the U.K. I’ve done so. Do I need to register this marriage in the U.K.? Or notify anybody? I need to translate my marriage certificat...

Re: Spouse visa application from Morocco

Hi, My husband is from Morocco, too. But we’re waiting until Summer time to send his application. I know you’re missing the TB test and the English test — both can be done in Rabat. The cost for this is around 1865 dhirams for the English test and about 600-1000 for the TB test. Hope that helps. Goo...

Re: Spousal Support Letter

Oh, I see. Would it not be useful to at the very least do a brief outline of when I met him, how many times I've flown back to see him, when I got married, where I got married, etc?

Spousal Support Letter

Hi all, I am in the midst of beginning my spousal support letter that I plan to tweak as I go along. I know I should keep it as factual as possible and not write a letter of nonsense and romance. However, I have detailed our first instance of meeting: where we met, the dates, missed flights to stay ...

Re: Adequate accommodation

I won’t be living with family/friends so I would definitely need to research what is classed as suitable accommodation and what documents I’d need to collect when applying so I can ask landlords prior to signing any contract.

Also, thank you. I’ll read through it.

Re: Adequate accommodation

Hello,
Would anyone be able to assist in finding an official U.K. government website that states the requirements for adequate accommodation and what it entails?
As in, what is required for each and every type of accommodation?

Adequate accommodation

Hi all, I’m searching for accommodation to meet the spousal visa requirements. I’ve been looking at flats and shared accommodation. Shared accommodation is more likely for me, since it’s likely to already be HMO-approved. The thing is, I’ve been messaging landlords, and saying the following: I’m sea...

Re: Spousal visa requirements - Clarifications

Hi all, Regarding the bank statements, am I correct in saying that all bank statements must be within 28 days in date of applying? So I can’t really collect bank statements now if I’m planning to apply in June since they will be invalid and out of date. Furthermore, is it correct that a maximum of 1...

Re: Spousal visa requirements - Clarifications

Yes of course. I’m taking paid holiday in February to go and see my husband but I’m guessing since it’s paid and My salary will still be the same each month it won’t affect the visa application whatsoever.
