Re: Citizenship Application Traffic Offence?

Thanks guys. So today I explained to my solicitor about the €80 fine last week. My solicitor said: "No it won't affect your application, Gardai only stopped you for unaccompanied and this is a minor issue and because you never had any issue with Gardai in the past. Your application will not ho...

Re: Citizenship delays: FOI and an application for an Order for Mandamus via the High Courts

I had applied to get a copy of my record under FOI Act. I applied on 15th Feb. I was supposed to get my record by 15th March. Instead I had got a letter stating this: "Time Extension The Deciding Officer assigned to process your request has requested a time extension of four weeks to process t...

Re: Citizenship Application Traffic Offence?

Oh my God. The person had stopped 4 months after applied but the application delayed for 39 months and 4 to 5 Garda vetting once every 10 months? Even after apology and paying the fine ticket? I give up already. I am hopeless now. This is my first time getting stopped and fine. I have prepared apol...

Re: Citizenship Application Traffic Offence?

Unfortunately even you quickly go and pay, still driving unaccompanied pose a danger to themselves and other road users. Unlikely even write a regret letter. It is an offence for a learner to drive unless accompanied by a fully licensed driver. While everyone may have different circumstances. I kno...

Re: Citizenship Application Traffic Offence?

It is not a minor offence. It may impact your application but you still need to inform them and write that you regret your action to show remorse. Hopefully they won’t take it against your good character requirement. Good luck You mean it may impact my application even if I pay the fine ticket and ...

Citizenship Application Traffic Offence?

I have applied for Citizenship since February 2020 and my application is already at the second stage. But for the first time I was stopped by the Garda today for driving unaccompanied. The two officer were so kind as they told me they will give me only ticket €85 as warning. But I've been panicking ...

Re: FOI for citizenship application

You make a request on behalf of your child. Your will need to provide your child’s ID as part of the application. Each FOI deals with one applicant only, so you need two applications for two children. Just to add, you also need a letter from your spouse consenting to release the record of your chil...

Re: FOI for citizenship application

Will requesting an FOI have any bearing on the outcome of your application ? No. Is responding to FOI an additional workload for the staff and may annoy them to slow down your application even further ? No. Remember. It's your right to ask for FOI under any circumstances, and it's especially import...

Re: Naturalisation refused after 3 years application

I am sorry that the decision has gone against you. But like other users said you are in the wrong here. First you did not follow the conditions of your status in the country. Second, when you were aware that officers found out about your trip back home as you said they took your mobile and question...

Re: Citizenship delays: FOI and an application for an Order for Mandamus via the High Courts

Do you have any idea on what the cost would be? Several thousands of euros I believe just for your own costs. Depending on many different factors. Well I won’t be able to get nothing from my country as I have been granted with a refugee status in Ireland that mean they can’t ask me noting in relati...

Re: Advice on Ongoing Citizenship Application

You should write a letter to INIS to clarify your residency. You need to tell them explicitly that your application's reckonable residences started from 2013, not from 2015, therefore you have met the reckonable residences requirement. Since there's no other outstanding items on your application, y...

Re: Advice on Ongoing Citizenship Application

Hi All, Need some feedback on the below scenario, whether I should contact the department or not. I have been a resident of Ireland since 2013. I launched my naturalization application as a NON-EU national with STAMP-4 in Jan 2020. In the Residency calculation, I put all my stamps dating from 2013 ...

Re: Children naturalization application

I sent fee and 2 photographs for my child in Nov 20, no response from them yet and awaiting the cert. It's really shocking that I am yet to get receipt and reference number since they received my children's application in February 2020. Only received acknowledgement and nothing more. Absolutely una...
