you can claim age points now for your extension. The age for claiming points during extension = your age at the time of your initial application, if this is your first application for extension
Does your No mean:
- it is not possible to switch from Tier 1 to Tier2 dependent
or
- it is not possible to switch from T1 to T2 dependent from within UK?

they received my app on 28th March and was told that the current processing time for HSMP visas is 1 month. So i can expect something by the end of this month.
you could look at part time study while working on Tier1. of course it would take longer than the full time, but you would be in a comfortable situation for FLR
