Expired Passport

My passport has expired and I am due to renew my Spouse visa at the end of next month. US Embassy says that a renewal will take approximately 3 weeks and that cuts it really close to the expiration of my visa. Can I still renew my visa with an expired passport or will I have to have the new one befo...

Re: Delay on Spouse Visa

UPDATE: Today, I FINALLY received my BRP! After over a year of waiting and several emails to the Immigration Services, I contacted my MP who again, left me hanging, so I finally made a complaint and less than a week later, it arrived! Thank you so much for all your suggestions and help. I am so rel...

Re: Delay on Spouse Visa

Do click on the link. Oh, I didn't realize it was a link you could click on. Thank you very much! My husband and I are going to write to our MP first and then if we still can't get an update, we will make a complaint. I just don't want an altercation if it's not necessary. I've just been waiting a ...

Also, consider making a complaint.
I don't want to take it that far just yet and possibly make the situation worse than it already is, but who would I complain to?

Delay on Spouse Visa

Good afternoon, I have been waiting on my spouse visa since I submitted all the supporting documents in January of this year. I got an email on April 2nd saying "Due to operational constraints relating to COVID-19 we have been unable to process your application within service standard." wh...

Biometrics appointment for first Spouse Visa

Good afternoon, I just applied for my spouse visa and after I paid for the IHS the next page said something about the following charge (for the visa) covering the biometrics visit. I could have misread, or misunderstood, but when I went to book the appointment it's saying it's £110 for a standard vi...

Re: UK Spouse Visa - Items of correspondence

@CR001, I plan to pay before my fiance visa expires, but does that mean I'm covered till they confirm I'm all set with the spouse visa? I've been reading that it takes 2 to 12 weeks to process, and I'd really rather not have to go back to the US and wait that out. I'm aware there's the priority serv...

Re: UK Spouse Visa - Items of correspondence

@CR001, yes, I have a 6 month Fiancee visa in my passport. You and Casa actually helped my husband (BigglezUK) with some questions we had about the fiancee visa last January, and checked the list of documents we had put together for our second try (which was approved).

Re: UK Spouse Visa - Items of correspondence

@mss9025 - Thank you for your response! The application I am filling out specifically says the following: "Items of correspondence addressed to [names removed] at the same address as evidence you have been living together since your last grant of leave in this category, or from the date you fir...

UK Spouse Visa - Items of correspondence

Good afternoon, My husband and I are in the process of applying for my spouse visa and one of the items that I see that we have to have at least 6 Items of correspondence for the past 4 months that I've been here such as council tax bills and telephone bills and/or statements. However, we don't have...
