Re: Working from overseas on a Global Talent visa

@ CR001, thanks for your advice but I thought Global Talent Visa is exempted from the restriction. It isn't, the link I posted is the immigration rules. ILR on any visa route requires UK residence (and evidence) in addition to any other rules for the category and GTV you have to also remain endorse...

Have Tier-1 visa but have not relocated to U.K. yet due to Covid

Hello folks I have received my Tier-1 exceptional talent visa and have also collected my BRP in July. We live in the EU but are Australian citizens so we can come and go from the U.K. without impediment in normal non-Covid times. However, due to the current Covid situation our move to the U.K. has b...

Re: Stage 2 : Date of entry after 6 months from the Stage 1 approval

All I'm not living in the UK, received my TIER 1 ( Exceptional Talent) endorsement stage 1 last week and was informed to go for Stage 2 in 3 months from the date of approval. 1) How many years I can choose for stamping - Stage 2? ( 5 / 4 /3 Years) 2) Due to Indefinite Leave to Remain, Can I choose ...

Re: Stage 2 : Date of entry after 6 months from the Stage 1 approval

As per my experience, home office will grant you the vignette to enter the U.K. with your proposed travel date to collect your BRP (and first entry into UK on this visa) within 3 months of the date of your application for stage-2. I had chosen a date 5-months out initially and they asked me to provi...

Options for BRP collection if Corona virus related lockdown comes into effect

I have been approved for a Tier-1 visa and my wife for. PBS Dependent visa. We are required to collect our BRP between APR-6 and May-6 and currently live in another EU country (but hold Australian passports). With the Corona virus crisis fast spreading across Europe and the potential for further loc...

Re: Is travel permitted prior to window for BRP collection on Australian passport

This would be similar to anyone on say an EU / EEA passport and approved for a similar visa. These do not require any visa to be in the UK. Are you planning to travel for a short visit only or to live over and stay?? Short visits of a couple of days - business trips. Do I need to carry the letter w...

Is travel permitted prior to window for BRP collection on Australian passport

Hello I hold an Australian passport and am permitted to travel into the UK without a prior visa and can use the egates. Now I have the tier1 visa approved but it is future dated (in April) and I have a 1-month window during which I can collect the BRP. So the question is whether I am permitted to tr...

Re: Stage 2 - applying from outside U.K. - is Passport retained by VFS / Spouse application

Thank you CR001 1) cant tell from their website but will ring them to find out 2) I have not submitted yet. I am at the point where I need to pay the IHS fee but have not clicked through to the step yet. Hopefully there is an option to pay both our IHS fees and application fees simultaneously. But I...

Stage 2 - applying from outside U.K. - is Passport retained by VFS / Spouse application

Hello folks I am in the process of submitting my stage 2 application and have two questions. 1) when I go in for the biometric test at the VFS Global location in my city, do I have to leave my passport with them or will they simply scan it and hand it back? I travel frequently within Europe and can’...
