Re: IELTS for Tier 2 visa

That's unfortunate indeed, this missing document will reject the application. I assume you've given your biometric details already? If not, then you can withdraw and get your refund. If you have done it you can give it a shot and ask HO to refund it. You can explain due to covid you're not able to r...

Re: IELTS for Tier 2 visa

You need to take the specific IELTS test as CR001 mentioned, UKVI number is required because it stores in HO's system. See if other tests beside IELTS are available in your area: https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/903098/Approved_Secure_En...

IELTS General Training is no longer in the list, so I guess this won't be accepted?

Re: do you have right to work in the uk?

That means they don't sponsor a work visa for the offered position, it's only available to those who have already the right to work, and it doesn't matter where they're from.

Re: Promotion while on tier 2 visa

They updated with the T2 extension and it was 2 years late, it didn't cause any delay on the extension (Got it on the same day). So I assume it will be okay for ILR as well. The red flag for pay rise is when one receives a raise just before the ILR application to meet the minimum salary. For someone...

Re: BRP collecting without a person present

It's no longer DX that delivers HO documents, it's TNT.

The time I received my BRP I was not asked for any ID, I was simply given the envelope as the resident of the address so should be okay for you.

Re: BRP not Received

It should arrive any day soon, mine took 10 working days in early April. I received an "out for delivery" email from TNT by then. I'd wait a little bit longer, meanwhile worth to check with TNT by giving your postcode to see if it's due soon, otherwise you better report it: https://www.gov...

Re: Promotion while on tier 2 visa

Congrats on your promotion. You only need to ask your employer to update both changes in the SMS(As long as it's not under a new SOC code). It won't have an impact on ILR which is 2,5 years away, people get promoted as part of their careers.

I have done the same.

You can only apply from your country of residency. No timelines yet when the VFS centres are reopening but should be soon for US as some other countries have reopened already.

Re: Tier2 Extension -- is RLMT necessary?

I wouldn't be worried at all. You only carry out a RLMT with a new Tier 2 visa, an extension only requires BRP and passport as employee's circumstances have not been changed.

That'll be fine, you can apply anytime before your visa expires, as long as you completed your qualifying years.

Re: Tier2 Extension -- is RLMT necessary?

RLMT is not needed for a T2 extension with the same employer and SOC.

If pay has already been increased it should be updated in your new CoS by your employer before you apply.

Re: Maintenance Tier 4 to Tier 2

You would need £945 in your bank account for 90 days, so an insurance letter from your family won't work.

Worth to explain this to your employer and reach an agreement? Otherwise you will need to wait for 90 days with £945 before you can apply.

Re: New Tier 2 RCOS granted, cannot leave UK to switch from Tier 5 visa expiring next week

If you're given a CoS in your name and a starting date you can go ahead with Tier 2 application within the UK and start working, now that you have this opportunity. Switch to long term visa: You can apply from the UK to switch to a long-term UK visa until 31 July 2020 if your leave expires between 2...

You certainly forgot to mention T2 workers have built a life in the UK. T2 workers have been "invited" to help the economy, at times like this the least expected is for the gov not to worsen their situation especially that they have NRPF. @Waseem432000 which forum as we talking about where...

Re: With Gen Tier 2 visa can I buy shares or do trading

Buying stock is taxable, but FX is conditionally taxable, if it falls under spectacular gambling category then it's fully non taxable but being on a T2 you can't do any business other than working for your sponsor. Even as a secondary job that is the same job code, you need to be on PAYE. So technic...

Re: Can expect UK Visa extension after May 2020?

I bet it's very frustrating that they haven't given the update and it's only couple of weeks until end of May. I was lucky enough to extend T2 one day before they closed down, had it not happened I'd be in the same shoes. There is no way that they will not extend it, as international flights are sti...

If it's spread betting in forex then it's tax free I think because of high risk, similar rules to gambling winnings which is tax free, but stock isn't.

Did you meet the knowledge of english requiremnet as part of an indefinite leave application made on or after 28th october 2013? Yes or no
You should only say yes to continue, it'll certainly be refused as it's part of the requirement.
Hope the centres will reopen before your visa is due.

Re: Urgent help needed SOC 2135 does RLMT needed?

RLMT is not required for shortage occupation and SOC 2135 is in shortage occupation, so as long as you're applying under this code you are exempted from RLMT no matter what the agency says.

2136 is in shortage occupation list since 2018 I think.

The salary required for an experienced worker is £32,600 for this SOC code.

Note also that you are unable to do any form of work if you leave your tier 2 sponsor until you have a new visa granted. This is no longer the case as of April 14. You can start to work with your new employer as soon as you submit an application, without waiting for a decision on a new Tier 2 to be...

I also have the same question.

In my understanding it shouldn't differ, because the employee is still earning the same amount and still employed.
