Re: Multi-country travel including round the world trips - Naturalisation

If your first 2 questions refer to filling the absences you just need to enter one of the destination countries. For the purpose of counting the absences the destination is not that relevant unless you are omitting trips which are stamped on your passport. You are applying as non a non EEA citizen b...

Re: Future Intention Requirement - Naturalisation UK

According to the main HO guides there's no constraint on travelling after you submitted your naturalisation application. If of course as soon as you submitted your application you move definitely abroad that would be considered deception and (if they find out) could be ground for rejection.

Supporting documents - passport - all pages or only main

When uploading the proof of identity, in my case passport, can I just upload the main page with the photo id or do I need to upload every single couple of pages ? 45 pages total

Thanks

Do you receive your BRP straight after UKCVAS?

Hi, can someone please clarify if after the appointment do you receive your BRP by courier ? Or do you receive your BRP when the application for naturalisation gets approved ?

Re: More than 90 days because of flight cancellations

Thanks, keeping another question in the same topic because they are quite similar so I don't create a new one. If we are over 90 but below 100 absences in the final year is it advisable to answer yes on the following question (and explaining this was due to covid restrictions) : Are there any reason...

Excellent, thank you. She was just away for 95 days in the last 12 months i.e. 5 days over than the allowed 90 days. So i believe, it is ok to apply now.

how did it go ? did she apply with 95 days absences in the final 12 months

Re: Citizenship stress are we to be deported ?

An application for naturalisation doesn't provide any immigration status so she should apply for settled status immediately providing a valid excuse.

Re: Citizenship application approved but travelling abroad during Ceremony time limit

Soon after getting British passports my wife and daughter will leave UK forever (atleast 7 years if not forever). Do they need to declare it with HM Revenue and other authorities? This violates the future intentions requirement and can be considered deception by the Home Office when they applied fo...

Final year absences 104 - pandemic discretion

Hello, is it advisable to send the naturalisation application with 104 days absences in the final year? I was planning to justify the additional 4 days due to pandemic restrictions that were in place in Italy back in December '20 and March '21. They are just 4 days so ideally I would have to wait to...

Any government letters you received during these last 5 years are also considered proof of residence, examples : Home Office, NHS, HMRC, Council...make sure they have your name on them and not just "home owner", "the resident"

Re: Single notice procedure for TV licensing

If you didn't move your residence abroad that means you were still covered by your home country national health care system (uk was still in the European Union). If you can get it, translate it and attach it to your application, better than nothing

Re: Single notice procedure for TV licensing

If you are e EU citizen request to your home country a S041 form, get if officially translated in English. That proves you were covered by your home country health care system until you moved your residence abroad.

Re: Can I travel abroad before my UKVCAS appointment?

You don't have any restriction on travelling during your waiting time for your UKVCAS appointment. Once you submit your application absences related to your submitted application are not counted anymore unless you will have to submit a new application later on.

I am also in the same situation, around 130days absences in the last 12 months. What worries me that if they apply discretion they might ask for official proof (in my ...

If you’re only abroad for a short time, you might be asked to postpone the ceremony until you return to the UK. You must still book your ceremony within 6 months of getting an invitation. https://www.gov.uk/citizenship-ceremonies note that one of the requirements of the naturalisation application is...
