Well, I am beginning to believe that whether I have a valid case or not (and I think I do), getting anything accomplished is going to be an uphill task. The only thing Home Office will respond to is a stick wielded by an authority more powerful than itself, which takes me back to the JR approach, wh...

Incredible as it sounds, the VAF form that you have pointed to asks On what date do you want to travel to the UK ? while the form that I have, and which I filled in Nov 2007, does not ask this question . I am not quite sure how to share that file with you, as a temporary measure you can pull it from...

I still have a soft copy of the form I filled in Nov 2007, and there is no section which asks "On which date do you wish to travel to the UK" (or anything similar in letter or in spirit).

Does this make any difference to the argument you have put forward?

Judicial Review- 28 day rule and Post dating of initial Visa

Hi All, This is a depressingly familiar story, but would appreciate it if you could go through it. I came over on Jan 11, 2008, under the HSMP, switched to Tier 1 (General) later. My current leave expires on Dec 6, 2012, which is more than 28 days before the date on which I complete 5 years of stay ...

Well said, mate. That is exactly the way I feel as well. Incidentally, I have a degree (B. Tech) in Electronics Engg. from IIT Kanpur, and even that does not affect any consultant or recruiter. I mean, I do not expect any preferential treatment, but yes, I do think that my alma mater adds weight to ...

Thanks for the advice. Of course, I am not banking on getting an offer, it is just that the interview went well (they grilled me for almost 5 hours), and the job specification showed a good match with my skills. I have not given up my job search, I am still looking, till I get a confirmed job offer....

Time taken by companies to make a decision after interview

Hi All, I am on a HSMP visa in the UK, landed here on Jan 11, and am looking for a job. I have about 9 years of work experience in embedded/DSP/multimedia domains. I was interviewed by a company on Jan 31, it is almost two weeks now. The interview was arranged by a recruiter, and when I talked to hi...

I hold a degree in Electronics from IIT Kanpur, and have been in the industry since 1998. and the last couple of years I have been working on embedded signal processing applications including video applications. My HSMP application has been approved, and I file...

Hi tabcd, Take a look at the official HSMP guidance document (http://www.bia.homeoffice.gov.uk/6353/11406/49552/hsmp1guidance?version=1), page 25. Whatever (highest) educational qualifications you hold, have to established to be equivalent to a "UK Bachelors", "UK Masters" or a &...
