Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Ah, I went back and read what I typed, it didn't make perfect sense. I've met my grandfather and had him do a legal DNA test that is admissible in courts and was said to work for citizenship purposes as well. The test came back as a match. My grandfather isn't on the birth certificate, but I called ...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Please help! It's been 22 months into the process and now they're trying to return my documentation. So I am 99% of the way done, the only issue is, the FBR Office will NOT accept a LEGAL DNA Test as a link between my father and grandpa. They want my dads original birth certificate with my grandpas ...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Documents received at Office: Feb 2019 So, I had been told in May 2019 I should be approved by december 2019, but that never happened. I called in Jan/Feb of this year and for some reason they couldn't find my application, then COVID hit. I messaged the online chat on Thursday Sept 10 and was told t...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

I'm now at 12 months and 1.5 weeks since Dublin accepted my application. I'm calling in tomorrow. People have spoken to in the past said I should have no problem with getting approval and all my documents were accounted for. This is ridiculous. I was told 9 to 12 months. So I hope I can get this res...

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

So it's been 1 year today (Feb 19, 2019) since Dublin received my application and started processing it. I've received no word and was told 9 to 12 months. I'll be calling tomorrow. I'm in Toronto, so this doesn't make any sense

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

Well, I'm quickly coming up on the 1 year mark since my application was received in Dublin (sent from Toronto). I was emailed Feb 19, 2019 saying everything was recieved and nothing since. This is ridiculous how people from March 2019 are receiving theirs before mine. Maybe there is a bias against C...

Online application submitted Feb 10, 2019. Documents received in Ireland February 17, 2019 January 20, 2020 -...
