Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Today I just called home office helpline and asked them whether they know when the priority service will resume. They said hopefully sometime next week they can resume the priority service as they are working on backlog at the moment. That is quite frustrating as I have to apply tomorrow at the lat...

Re: **** COVID19 Life in the UK and English test centre closure **** (ONLY discuss here)

I just finished my life in UK test this afternoon in Hounslow London. It is quite easy and you will get your reslut immediately after you finished your exam. I’ll be doing mine this Thursday in Ilford. Did you find the practice tests online more difficult than the real test? My visa expires Friday....

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

I would have thought they would allow for applicants to select priority service and then only allow appointment booking once available in a month or two. I’m sure that would satisfy some of those that require priority in order to travel later in the year. It would certainly work for me. I’m not fuss...

Understood, thanks. Will be making my choice between the two closer to the time basing that decision off appointment types available

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Gov website says ancestry visa general decision time is 8 weeks for standard - obviously will be more given backlog. I won’t be submitting until the last minute to try and get a priority appt if by any possible reason they become available. So sad for everyone that has prepared for their application...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Re: Covid 19 - Life in the UK test Centre Closure

I spoke with Home Office on Friday they told me to still apply for my ILR when I had planned to whether I have sat the test or not. I have just had my April test cancelled and rebooked now for 1st May. I would like to think the closer we get to May/June they will start giving people in the same boat...

Re: Covid 19 - Life in the UK test Centre Closure

I am in the same boat, want to submit my application on 08-May-20; visa expiration in first week of June. Re-booked LIUK test for 17 April but highly doubt it will go ahead! I wonder what happens to employment if your visa has expired and new one not yet approved due to covid-19? are there any reper...

Re: ILR application prep

One more question, on the absence from the UK, i have made up my travel history for the past 5 years and have a number of trips to the Republic of Ireland, for most I have my stamped passport and return flight booking con...
