There is a possibility for you to regularise your status under 7 years concession which only applies to someone with children under 18. Others will be able to advise more on this board but in my view 7 years concession applies to you. You should also seek legal advice as soon as possible and apply u...

They are dealing with the entire backlog as per the priority of the case i.e. whether they are on support, easy to remove etc (you ...

I read Byrne's comments in Telegraph a few days ago where he said that the government is cosidering action to deal with the backlog. Not sure what that action would be but no other newspaper or other media sources reported this. As someone mentioned earlier, I also believe that some sort of regulari...

New immigration fees announced 30 January 2008 Increased immigration charges, which will fund sweeping changes to border security, have been announced. While most fees will increase only slightly, and some (such as student visa fees) will not increase at all, others - such as fees for the Highly Ski...

But now as you probably know the reconsideration was allowed and we were advised by the counsel to reapply on art 8 grounds to the home office and we did. So would removal direction affect the case in any way?

"Stop the clock" notices - Article 8

Sorry to hear about your situation. You can get your MP involved and he can write to the home office and/or embassy to speed up the process and outline your current situation. MP letters are always useful in my view. Sorry this is all I can help with but others may possibly have other ideas.
