Re: Passport Application Discussion 2022

The people who I've seen post that they sent certified copies of their passports looked to be FBRs or people living in other countries. It appears that if you are applying from another country, you aren't requested to send your other passport unless it is being sent as a form of ID. As a naturalize...

Re: Passport Application Discussion 2022

Notarized documents if accepted by applicants outside Ireland then should be accepted within Ireland also. Otherwise, it is biased to give special treatment isnt it? Born citizens of Ireland can move to another country and not inform the State of this. Naturalised citizens have to inform the State ...

Hi All, I applied in January 2020. I went through e-vetting in October 2021 and completed an FOI in December. I received approval today. ๐Ÿ’ƒ Did you get an invite to a ceremony or asked to send declaration? The declaration. Which made me very happy, as I didn't want to wait for the June ceremony.

Re: FOI request through email or post?

On December 7, 2021, I completed the FOI form that is available online. The title is "Request for Access to Records under the FOI Act of 2014." I saved it to my computer so that I could attach it to my email. In the request, I referenced my citizenship application number and stated "I...

Re: FOI request through email or post?

I applied through email and it was quick and easy. I had a response by the next day that my request had been received, a tracking number, and that I would receive a response to my request for documents no later than a specific date which was approximately four weeks after my application. The respons...

Does Six Week Rule apply after Application submitted?

Does the six week out of the country rule also apply after the application for citizenship has been submitted? I can only find in writing that it applies to the year before submitting your application. I've seen mentions in the posts on the boards that applicants should follow the rule while their a...
