340days at once absence (550in5ys):chances of Naturalisation

Dear all friend of mine (on ILR via WP dependent route) spent 340 days (not in the final year before application for BC) in India in one go due to complications related to her dental implant surgery - the implant was first rejected then she had severe inflammation then rejected again.. Nightmare... ...

Hi Siggi, I am in a similar situation - eligible to apply in January 2009 and my company, UK based holding, is opening a new office in Russia where they would like me to go. I do not see contradictions as far as you intend to make UK your home which you genuinely willing to do. But in case we are wr...

that`s right - this is a part of the application form for Naturalisation where one needs to state reason for the divorce. in my case it was an adultery. i have spoken to the immigration adviser and he told me not to worry but it does not help as I don`t see how HO will distinguish between real marri...

Sorry if this question has been asked again and again: I have received my ILR couple of months back (5 years on WP) and my wife dependant did receive her ILR as well. Now from personal perspective things do not look well and my wife insists on the divorce. If we divorce now will she be able apply fo...

sorry for a silly question – is council tax excemption on the basis of a full time study with LRT stating "no recourse to public funds" - recourse to public funds or not? Is it classified as council tax benefit? Will it cause any trouble whilst appliying for ILR if it was claimed prior r...

I am just wondering how technically HO would check status of your Council tax payments for over 5 years? Do they send enquiry to all Councils where person used to live in?

Police registration certificate and ILR

We are due to apply for ILR on the basis of 5 years under WP (myself and my wife - dependent) and just now have noticed that we have not informed police about our marriage 4 years (!) ago in the UK. Do you think this is serious issue? Of course we will run to our local police station on Saturday mor...
