Re: Allowed Absence Types for Naturalization

Hi, I have paid for an answer using an online service and I would like to share it here so that it will be useful for other people: There are two answers from the same solicitor. First answer: "The policy for absences when you apply to naturalise is different from when you apply for ILR. You do...

Re: Allowed Absence Types for Naturalization

Thank you for the replies  :D  For ILR (I am aware that it is under a different law), I meant this one: https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/891368/calculating-continuous-leave-v21.0-gov-uk.pdf There is a title on this document ...

Allowed Absence Types for Naturalization

Hi, I have received my ILR BRP on 4th August 2020. I had Tier 2G before that. Next year I will be applying for British Citizenship via Naturalization. I know that I should not have more than 90 days absence from the UK within next 12 months. But what type of absences are allowed? This year, when I a...

Citizenship absence calculation

I have a question: Does it matter what kind of absences these are? Do they have to be either approved&paid holidays or business trips only? If someone, who has ILR BRP already, is unemployed now but still lives in the UK and goes abroad for 60 days within the last 12 months just before citizensh...

Re: Worked Remotely Abroad for 52 days - Tier2G to ILR

Hi Everyone, I would like to give the final update as I have promised to do. My lawyer has managed to get a paid appointment (£69.99) on 20th July and I have attended one of Sopra Steria offices to give finger prints, signature and also they have taken a photo of me. Regarding the main focus of this...

Re: Worked Remotely Abroad for 52 days - Tier2G to ILR

Hello, I wanted to give an update and to show that I still remember my post and feel responsible to complete the journey here to help others. The short answer is, there is no update. I am still waiting, especially because of the lockdown. Long answer: My lawyer has made the application in March. She...

Re: Remote working with Gen-tier 2 and absence clarification for ILR

I wish someone could answer to this question. It is so crucial for me as well. I visited my parents for 7 weeks. Worked 6 weeks remotel from abroad and had 1 week of paid annual leave. All approved by my employer. Same scenario really. The answer for this post will enlighten me as well. Thank you ev...
