stevehyd: HEC Equivalence is necassary if you have a foreign degree (non-UK i thk). When submiting the EC, they ask you to fill in this form, n one of the requirements on the form is HEC equivalence in case of foreign degree. I suggest you visit the VAC in your city & ask them for the forms. The...

my status is the same...i checked with the bank...they said they havent received any verifications calls...i called 0512012901 numerous times in the last few days but the no. is always engaged...i get a voice message...i only got thru twice in the last few days...& after asking quite a few quest...

Hi, My status is the same. I called the BHC as well as Gerrys's, they both said that we can only tell you that the application is in process...& not at which stage your application is [:-)]...I had requested them to please expedite since i need the passport for travel needs (which i really do).....

Ok i just checked & the message (in my case) has changed from 'Application received..' to 'Your visa application has been forwarded to the British High Commission 25 Jan 2008'... Saby: It is a 'KHI/xxxxxx/xxxxxx/x' no. & DOB to enter on the website...it used to give me an invalid search erro...

Hi Immad,

What sort of additional verifications do they need? How did you find this out. Did you call the embassy or the gerry's helpline?

How long should they take, if the normal verification process is followed?
