Re: EU Settlement Scheme AFTER December 31st?

So basically you can get Pre-settled status to live in the UK for another 5 years, correct? Pre-Settled status is given for 5 years from the moment of application. If my in-laws come to the UK after 31st December, how do I go about extending their visa to live here for longer? Are you saying you wa...

Re: Does it make sense to apply EU settlement scheme while waiting for RC?

I was guided by an immigration advisor and he did not tell me that we needed to provide payslips as well. I am not an immigration advisor myself, so I can only speak from my own experience. From a personal point of view, I have always stuck to the policy of really supplying all documents requested ...

Re: Does it make sense to apply EU settlement scheme while waiting for RC?

We are worried that Home office could reject our application as we did not submit any payslip. On the other hand, we submitted employer's declaration and employment contract to prove that my wife is exercising her treaty rights in the UK As indicated in the suporting documents checklist (page 96), ...

Hi everyone, I am a non-EEA citizen married to an EEA citizen. We moved to the UK 2 weeks ago and my wife started working in the UK a week ago. We applied for a residence card using EEA QP application. We submitted all required documents except the payslip(s) as my wife did not receive her first pay...

Re: Can we apply settlement scheme while waiting for RC

Hello Minwa, Thanks for asking. We had decided to wait for the RC card so that we could apply for the settlement after we receive it. We have not received the RC still, not sure how much more time that will take :( We called settlement helpdesk for advise but they have no idea about the RC process....
