Airline won't let her on board on the return flight. Get a re-entry visa.

Re: Never got refusal letter

Sorry to bother you but do you know if I have to send everything in again or just re apply with the application form?? I believe that most document from the old application can be re-used for a new one if you ask and give them reference number. But you will have to pay again and fill in a new appli...

Re: Never got refusal letter

ok, looks like it was found ineligible. What does it say on the letter?
You can't use the date of arrival to Ireland, only the dates which are shown on residence permits.
The reason why letter is not signed, is because it's a copy. Signed original will be sent to you by post.

Re: Never got refusal letter

It may well be the case that your application was found ineligible. It's similar to refusal, the only difference is that the application never moved to the second stage, as it was found ineligible during initial assessment. However even in such cases you must have a letter.

Re: Never got refusal letter

How do you know that it was rejected? I've never heard of "landing date", what is it? If you application was refused, you must get a letter informing you about the decision. You FOI file must contain copies of all letters which were sent to you, including decision letter (refusal or approv...

That is very helpful Vorona. Thank you.

Quick Q. Can the pdf form eg form 8 be typed up and filled in on Acrobat or similar editor or must it be handwritten? (Bar the signed declaration of course).

Re: General questions - please advise - couldnt find answer anywhere

For periods where I was absent 45 days in fiscal year, do I send a detailed sheet when and why. With 5 separate trips, that is minus 10 days going there an back. Just wondering if they need to see it still. All absences of 42 days or more must be declared. By signing statutory declaration you are d...

Re: General questions - please advise - couldnt find answer anywhere

Sorry to hear about your grandmother's condition. You need to decide for yourself if applying for citizenship in current circumstances is really important for you to risk waiting several months for your passport. If it was me, I would have finished my family business first, and applied after returni...

Re: General questions - please advise - couldnt find answer anywhere

Yes it will. But I'd strongly recommend applying after the wedding because you passport can be held by Department for a long time, and even if you use another document to go to Germany, you will still need to tell them where you are going and for how long after sending the application if it's for 6 ...

Re: General questions - please advise - couldnt find answer anywhere

1. 5 last years in chronological order. 2. You can, but expect to be asked for more documents, so better have enough proofs for each year of residence. 3. Days of departure and arrival do not have to be counted as absence. 4. Date when you sign the statutory declaration. 5. Fiscal year, from the dat...

Re: E vetting and citizenship application

After applying for a JR as a result of long delay. I got E vetting from nationalisation department to sign it up. I am wondering did anyone get the same? Any one know if this is a good sign they are in the late stage of processing? This is just a routine criminal background check, which means that ...

Re: Citizenship Applications From 2020 Pending Approval

Speaking of healthcare workers, it has been confirmed by the Department several times that they are not able to prioritise applications from people employed in healthcare sector or any other area because there is no legislation or system to allow them to do that.

Re: Citizenship Applications From 2020 Pending Approval

Spouses of Irish citizens are always considered a priority by being able to apply for citizenship after only three years of marriage, unlike standard applications which are based on residence. It's is understandable that there's an element of jealousy about this from other categories of applicants. ...

Re: Citizenship Applications From 2020 Pending Approval

It's hard to say since very few of the actual applicants are registered on the forum to create a clear picture. The title of the thread is also suggesting that it's for people whose applications were approved and not the decision being made in general. It's pity that we don't have a reliable and cat...

Re: Need to travel after applying for Irish Citizenship by naturalization

Especially considering that you've already had long absences from Ireland in the previous years, this may indicate that you don't have the intention to live here and you may be asked to provide additional documents while you're away.

Re: Need to travel after applying for Irish Citizenship by naturalization

No point in applying and then asking for your passport to be returned shortly afterwards. Passports must be verified for authenticity during initial stage. This process cannot be performed from home due to data protection and technical aspects of verification process. Even if you request and get it ...

Get a replacement birth certificate showing surnames of parents. This maybe a result of simple printing error or negligence of staff when birth certificate was issued.

Yes, you can send printed copies of e-statements. It will be better if you select the ones which have transactions for utility bills and day to day transactions, for food for example. Tax credit certificate and P60 will be fine.

That was the only point I was trying to make as the original poster was asking if anyone recieved the affidavit by email and had a digital copy of same. They weren't...

Re: Affidavits for approved applications and next ceremony

This isn't necessarily true. I only got my Affidavit by post and never received an email about it at all and don't have a digital copy of the form. You are missing the point. Certificate will not be issued without the invitation to send the declaration first. It doesn't matter if it was sent to the...

Depends. If restrictions are lifted sooner, then approved applicants will have a proper official ceremony.
If not, then most likely the email system will continue.
