Are original documents in English ok to send or will my application be rejected because they're not signed by a solicitor?
No. Application will not be rejected.
Your marriage certificate will simply be returned to you and will be asked to make a certified copy and send it back.

It doesn't stop you from leaving but Minister can exercise their power and revoke the citizenship if they satisfied that person does n...

Do you mean the certified copies of both passports(mine and my wife's)?

Re: Citizenship Applications - Content of Second Letter

Guys this topic is about the content of the second letter. If you haven't received a second letter, be it about the status of the application or a decision, then there's nothing to discuss.

Check your letter boxes.

Re: Return of Original Passport after citizenship application

It takes 4 months on average according to the most recent reports.
I suspect that applications sent to the department during lockdown will not even be opened until lockdown ends since they can't verify passports from home.

It depends on the type of job, some people can apply for citizenship even if they were working out side of Ireland, not sure about the details, something like humanitarian or for the benefit of state, someone can enlighten us, but surely there is, it is on inis website, but I do not understand it w...

Re: Travelling after applying for Citizenship

If you apply for citizenship and then leave Ireland for long periods of time this can be viewed as lack of intention to live in the state and will most likely negatively affect your citizenship application. One question on the form asks about your future plans about residing here. If the situation i...

Unclear or confusing questions on the citizenship application form for adults (Form 8)

My Brazilian colleague was filling out the naturalisation form the other day and asked me to act as a referee and to help her with the form. I couldn’t do that because I’m not an Irish citizen and she asked if her Irish husband can be a referee. I said to her that he indeed can. In fact, there is no...

No.
You must inform them only if you become unemployed or claim social welfare payments.
Changing your job is not considered as important change in your circumstances since you're still supporting yourself financially.

then they would not put hard stop at may and possible next ceremony at December. Just looking at virtual ceremony example(2mnth to prer trial, 2 mnth post trial decision), shows that department is only flexible to some extend. I think that we won't see any proper ceremonies this year. The risk to t...

Re: Affidavits for approved applications and next ceremony

I am more pessimistic. I think the will wait for vaccinations to complete prior to planned ceremony in December, closer to December if it will not happen same story with affidavit will repeat. I don't see benefit for them to keep affidavit, covid19 is good excuse for delays. Also Killirney had paid...

Re: Affidavits for approved applications and next ceremony

My understanding is it is for approved and some waiting to be approved as well. They are saying that fee needs to be paid along with submitting the declaration while most people who are approved would have paid the fee within 10 days of approval Just a formality. They must put it in writing that a ...
