Re: Still waiting for ISIN regarding separation notif (Irish spouse). Visa situation.

You're welcome. You need to call to your local Garda station, in which you have registered in the past. All contact details including station specific email addresses and phone numbers can be found on garda.ie I have no idea how long it will take. We're in another lockdown until March. Ring them and...

Re: Still waiting for ISIN regarding separation notif (Irish spouse). Visa situation.

I understand they granted everyone a new extension to 20th of April. Extension of permissions was granted only to those, who still meet the conditions of their permissions and would have renewed it in a normal way. You do not meet the conditions of your permission anymore and you will not be able t...

Re: Affidavits for approved applications and next ceremony

In the lights of prolongation of Level 5 lockdown, I have a feeling that if the COVID restrictions are not lifted after the initial 4000 applications are completed, these new arrangements will be applied to the current and future applications well beyond 31 of May.

Re: Pending decisions/approvals on applications from 16-17

And yet Pakistanis, Indians, Nigerians, Chinese and Filipinos are among top 10 nationalities granted Irish citizenship in 2018 according to the official information  is it too harsh to ask data to show which nationalities are worse off when it comes to naturalisation application? Not at all...

If you followed correct procedure they won't reject your request. You will get an email with your file in PDF format. You have a right to obtain a copy of the record they have about you.

Re: Pending decisions/approvals on applications from 16-17

But really for people who applied 16-17 as the subject suggested, is really painful... be empathetic. You could have only imagined how annoying it was if you were on their boat waiting for more than 5 years for a result. I agree with you on that one. It is disappointing when you have to wait for to...

Its not an exception, its a norm for many applicants of Asian origin.
I am an Asian woman of Vietnamese descent. The fact that I am a dual Russian-American citizen doesn't make me any less Asian. Ireland is the most welcoming country I have ever lived in.

Re: Pending decisions/approvals on applications from 16-17

AFAIK, a Garda vetting cert is valid for 12 months. They have to request a new one to keep it up to date. I have never set a foot wrong in the eyes of the law in my life, anywhere in the world. Just give it to them, it won't do any harm and will speak louder than words. At least they will be satisf...

Pluto, if they are conducting garda vetting on you every year without much progress, then this could be something for you to look at. Maybe they're not entirely sure about your criminal background. Try to send them police certificate from your home country or any other country that you have lived in...

Re: Pending decisions/approvals on applications from 16-17

@Verona. I don't and I do need one. My wife who is German waited 7 months to get approval in 2019. Multiple of my colleagues at work who are EU Citizens got their approvals within a year at the longest in 2019 early 2020 while I know at least 4 people in the office who are non EU Citizens (Indians,...

Re: Pending decisions/approvals on applications from 16-17

While I understand that the process is long, confusing and frustrating, let's clarify one thing. It is pretty obvious that, in the majority of the cases, the application process for EU citizens is way shorter than for non EU applicants. And it should be. Do you have any legitimate source to clarify...

Thanks vorona and I just got email from citizenship department .it is hard to say that its a copy paste reply or real status of my application I don't take these emails seriously and never emailed them about my application. Official letters were coming through the door and it was enough for me.

Yikes. It just doesn't make sense considering they have my passport details, so logically they should have an application number.
Prepare yourself mentally for years of waiting, it will make it much, much easier for you. No jokes.

Let's take this front line workers and medical professionals speculation off the table. It was clearly communicated to the media that there's no prioritisation of application on a basis of their professional activity in the State: https://www.irishtimes.com/news/health/frontline-healthcare-staff-see...

Re: Irish Naturalization - Should I submit my police clearances in advance?

It depends. Wh...

I don't believe this is accurate.
This is accurate. Police certificates are not listed in guidance. They are are optional and will only be required if requested or if the persons have convictions to disclose.

You can still send it, no harm in doing so, but it's not mandatory.

The question is: what should she reply to the Revenue?
If this person is important for you, tell them truth before things become worse.
The same for GNIB. It will be better if she tells them about her status before they find out.
