ILR approved - Sheffield PEO (Nov 15, 2012)

I just wanted to share my experience with my ILR application so that it may be of use to others. (Thanks to all the various contributors on this forum in helping me prepare for this.) Overall, I had a very good experience with the Sheffield PEO (very professional and friendly people). 10am Appointme...

I'm surprised they asked you for that. All that is required is just the visa (i.e. EC), I don't see why they would want to see it. My experience was they didn't ask to see anything else, no supporting docs nothing. More surprising to me is why you were asked to show it before boarding in India. Anyw...

Although I got the original approval letter back, I did not need it when I entered the UK. I wouldn't worry too much. Yes, I obviously have the Entry Clearance Sticker put on my passport. Do you mean that, or there is something else apart from the Entry Clearance sticker that is put on the passport....

Hi Dev, I didn't require a post dated EC but from reading other posts in the forum, seems like even if you request a post dated EC, the High Commission hasn't taken the request into account and they issue it on the date they approve it. It might help if after you submit your EC application and the H...

Re: Help required Please...............

I agree, this will be a problem as they want to see proof of salary going into your account. I'd suggest you get something from you employer stating they issue cash vouchers and all the dates they have issued this for you in the past year. Of course this letter should be certified by your employer. ...

P.S. Blue Dart sucks. They called me on Saturday telling me my passport has come but told me they can't deliver it that day because I'm too far. WTF. Why do we pay them money to courier it. I'm going to complain to VFS about them. It's nonsense. Not sure if anyone else has had any problems with thes...

They should respond cause I had called them up in the morning. The only caveat to this is they said although they will continue processing applications, they cannot guarantee anything for vfs. I'm not completely sure what this means but I think it refers to vfs delivering the passports (i.e. pickup ...

P.S. I also found out after calling the High Commission that they will be working on processing applications they currently have. Although VFS will be closed for these few days, BHC will continue processing applications they have.

They did email me back informing me when they received the verification from Integra so I know that's done. They got it back on the 27th of Nov, but no clue why they haven't done anything after that. Latest reply I got was they are experiencing a heavy volume of applications so it's taking longer, b...

Hi Lotus, I was on or should I say still on a student dependent visa. I applied for HSMP while I was in UK but had to come back to India to get the EC. If you are on a dependent visa, you would have to return to India to get the EC done. Unfortunately, it's a time consuming task and with the new bio...

Unfortunately, the SMS service is crap. When I SMS, it gives me the same exact message. I don't think it changes until they courier it, but I may be wrong.
