Applying for EUSS Family Permit for a child: a secondary question pertaining to a non-EEA spouse

Hello Everyone I am an Irish citizen, settled in UK (Issued with DCPR in 2017, with evidence of continuous employment since then). My second child was born abroad and we have applied for EUSS Family Permit to facilitate child's entry into UK after 31/12/2020. The biometrics appointment is next week....

Re: Foreign Birth Registration

I am not going to add my timeline, as I just applied (sigh, let the long journey begin) - but I am curious, there are so many FBR applicants. Is this all in efforts to actually live in Ireland? Or is it mostly due to Brexit? I would say 80% of the applicants are British, some of them, uniquely, are...

Re: Stamp 6

Hey Guy. Just wondering if anyone has applied for stamp 6 on basis of naturalisation? My passport application is being delayed so thinking to apply for stamp 6. Will that allow me to travel and re enter Ireland ? As what I have heard that naturalisation cert does not cover for re entry into Ireland...

The child of a an EU citizen or their non-EEA spouse with settled status can apply, beyond 2020. They have a lifetime qualification.
Obie, would you dare to elaborate please?

Re: EU Settlement Scheme: application from abroad after 31/12/2020

How does this play out for Irish citizens who do not require to apply for Settled/Pre-settled status? Note that there is absolutely no mention of the EU citizen needing to have applied to the EU Settlement Scheme for these conditions to apply. The only condition is residence in the UK prior to Dece...

Re: EU Settlement Scheme: application from abroad after 31/12/2020

If you’re overseas and a family member of an EU, EEA or Swiss citizen living in the UK The deadline for you to join your family member in the UK is 31 December 2020 (or 31 December 2025 if your partner is Swiss and you get married or form a civil partnership after 31 December 2020). If you’re not l...

You daughter is not required to enter into FBR to obtain Irish nationality unless you are naturalised Irish or born abroad to naturalised Irish parents!!
Thank you for finding time to clarify that. She does (unfortunately) and it is a shitpie atm in terms of the waiting game.

Re: Extra copies of Naturalisation Certificate

It's just weird that the legislation explicitly doesn't allow certificate replacement, but gives you a letter which de facto is a certificate replacement. It takes getting used to. I am not even sure if FBR certificates are replaceable. I will make notarised copies of all documents once I get them ...

Re: VISA REFUSED - HELP NEEDED IN DRAFTING APPEAL LETTER

lying is a strong and frequently misleading word unless proven to the case. I agree that the applicant has taken a number of wrong steps that will be difficult to backtrack on and to explain favourably in order to be successful with the subsequent application. OP stated in the application that they...

Re: VISA REFUSED - HELP NEEDED IN DRAFTING APPEAL LETTER

I agree with the previous comment. You have no right to appeal because you have lied in the form. That alone is enough to reject your application. By signing the form you confirmed that all details are truthful and accurate. Better off re-apllying. . lying is a strong and frequently misleading word...

Re: Deportation from Ireland - Healthcare workers

Some very dramatic language there, but there's a lot more to it Sure, would you dare to elaborate on 'a lot more to it' or is that just an empty-signifier and contrafactual narrative to undermine credibility of these individuals? Working without a permit isn't heroic, it's illegal. Not every asylum...

I did not mean to incite the discursive battle here    Well, my problem is the vagueness of the language and the lack of clear guidance, all of which are way too common in UK nowadays (apologies, but it is true). I have my family abroad, they are going to be there for a bit, and I ...

Any outgoing travel post restriction by EEA Family members

Hello everyone, Times are challenging but my question is whether anyone has travelled out of UK since the lockdown imposed last Thursday. GOV.UK indicates that all non-substantiated (e.g. study, work, medical treatment) outgoing travel is not permitted. It would be good to hear to the first-hand exp...

Re: EU Settlement Scheme: application from abroad after 31/12/2020

I am afraid you have not understood the previous explanation I have given. In order to apply for Settled Status, she has to apply for the EUSS Family Permit, there is no way around that. The only thing you can skip is the BRC. Once again, the EUSS process is: 1. Apply for EUSS family permit 2. Ente...
