Re: General discussion on CSI and Settled Status. Big issues for people on the EEA-Applications Routes

And they asked for nothing. I was prepared they would. But thanks God just the good news. So grateful! Congrats! this is great news and I bet you are relieved... I was about to start my application but I have a 6 month student gap in the middle my last 5 years which makes worry. One day I feel I sh...

Re: General discussion on CSI and Settled Status. Big issues for people on the EEA-Applications Routes

Fantastic news! I have been approved for British citizenship today. I applied with the new CSI wording. Missing 3 years of exercising treaty rights, provided sufficient evidence. Congrats! What documents have you provided? Is it only for 2 years? Thank you! Pretty much everything I found. From tax,...

I don’t mean people waiting for it. I mean those at the waiting stage afterwards.

Re: General discussion on naturalization applications

And I wonder if here’s anyone giving Biometrics in June/ July and still waiting?

From what I can see they approve people extremely quick now.
Unfortunately I’m one of those waiting.
And the wait is dreadful.

Re: General discussion on naturalization applications

It seems like they doing lately decisions extremely quick after having Biometrics. Many approved just within days. I’m just wondering if those who had self sufficient or student phases in the quality time at some point if those waiting longer in general as they do extra checks with HMRC? Could that ...

Re: General discussion on CSI and Settled Status. Big issues for people on the EEA-Applications Routes

Of course in the big picture that’s good for applicants. But as I said anyway near logical or fair. This way people absolutely stand the chance to live in UK without ever exercising treaty rights, whether before EUSS nor in their 5 qualifying years. How is this fair to applicants now being trapped i...

Re: General discussion on CSI and Settled Status. Big issues for people on the EEA-Applications Routes

So theoretical you only need Settled or even pre Settled Status for 5 years and no matter if you were exercising treaty rights or not, your residence from that point is “lawful”. Now you could argue that EUSS only exist since 2019. Therefore someone could theoretically not exercising treaty rights i...

Re: General discussion on CSI and Settled Status. Big issues for people on the EEA-Applications Routes

And I find it highly concerning the guidance doesn’t state on what terms they exercise discretion. As the fee is non refundable is quite a gamble and I personally think they should clarify that. Will it be enough simply to explain you didn’t know about CSI and the law and declare you didn’t mean to ...

Re: General discussion on CSI and Settled Status. Big issues for people on the EEA-Applications Routes

On what grounds does the HO exercise discretion for you not having a CSI while being a student? I have been living in the UK since I was a a young child (2004) did school and finished university a year ago, got my settled status in May 2019. I want to apply for Citizenship but im afraid they will d...

Re: General discussion on CSI and Settled Status. Big issues for people on the EEA-Applications Routes

Re: General discussion on CSI and Settled Status. Big issues for people on the EEA-Applications Routes

Hi, I've been thinking in a solution for this gamble: applying to BC (With Settle status) having a gap on employment and no CSI to provide. And I remembered about the possibility to apply for Permanent Residence first (EEA Route). I thought I would not have available this option (As It won't be val...

Re: Evidence you have been in the UK lawfully

Seen it on another page (shouldn’t mention names of other pages), but was a response from an immigration lawyer. And on the top that’s the only thing can be done in some cases. And caseworkers could contact them or asked for more information. Just explain things why they are this way would be my sug...

Say for example, during the periods of self sufficiency was being supported by UK resident husband/ partner who would give me cash. How would I be able to proof that?
I understand they have to write and sign a statement declaring this with details. I did that.

Re: Evidence you have been in the UK lawfully

To write statements, declare financial support was advised to me by immigration lawyers. I have 3 statements with signatures and details attached to my application. I don’t see a problem to provide bank statements to a naturalisation application, especially when you already did for your immigration ...

Re: **** COVID19 Biometrics appointments and UKVCAS ***** (Discuss here ONLY)

Re: **** COVID19 Biometrics appointments and UKVCAS ***** (Discuss here ONLY)

I applied on 9th of June and While I was creating the account with UKVCAS it identified me as existing customer and asked me to put the Unique Application number, So I did and then I uploaded my documents as well. So every time I log in it asks me to put the application number. And now I've got thi...

Re: General discussion on CSI and Settled Status. Big issues for people on the EEA-Applications Routes

As it’s been awhile now.
Anyone else lately got approved with lack of CSI or got asked by caseworkers to prove evidence of insurance?
Would like to know how they handle it these days?

Re: General discussion on CSI and Settled Status. Big issues for people on the EEA-Applications Routes

I understand you might not have good experiences with them. But like I mentioned before they were correctly updated in the topic. I didn’t have the feeling to talk to incompetent staff. Also the point is as we can see CSI isn’t considered so far as we have seen here and I have on other places and i...
