Re: **** COVID19 Biometrics appointments and UKVCAS ***** (Discuss here ONLY)

I applied in beginning May. I don’t have any existing biometrics, but I’ve received an email today saying
they will contact me on the 13th to book an appointment.

Also these calls are recorded and can be used in an applicants favour by tracking date and time. Don't count on it . The Home Office does not consider itself bound by incorrect advice given by the call center, either verbally/over the phone or in writing (emails/letters) . From their point of view,...

Re: **** COVID19 Biometrics appointments and UKVCAS ***** (Discuss here ONLY)

That’s good news. “ If you’ve given your fingerprints before If UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) can reuse the fingerprints you’ve already given, you’ll be emailed with instructions on how to send them an image of your face and your supporting documents. This will mean you do not have to attend a UKV...

I applied just stating May. They said to me today can take a couple of weeks. That’s realistic I guess and no need to hold my breath.

I uploaded everything and actually a lot.

Re: General discussion on CSI and Settled Status. Big issues for people on the EEA-Applications Routes

Well, I phoned Home Office and was told that no longer needed to provide CSI although it did say that would need to provide evidence of CSI on the form, so don't know ... Just for the case csi will be a topic for you when HO contacts for further evidence in which case another cover letter to explai...

Re: General discussion on CSI and Settled Status. Big issues for people on the EEA-Applications Routes

Frou001, four caseworkers that I contacted expressed three different opinions. I assume you called the UKVI Helpline? As I understand it the helpline operation is outsourced to a third party provider and the agents are not UKVI case workers, and don't have direct access to case workers or documents...

Re: General question for those waiting for biometrics

Hi, i applied in mid April and not received an email saying i could book. And i cannot book anything on the website. So i guess will need to wait still Thank you for letting me know. General question for those waiting for biometrics

I’ve been waiting for Biometrics now for two months. I do follow the weekly UKVCAS updates saying they are making progress. Saying they keep realising appointments and every new week I think I would finally receive an email to access new appointments... but still nothing. On the other hand I’ve seen...

Re: General discussion on CSI and Settled Status. Big issues for people on the EEA-Applications Routes

Responding the user with "dog" in their username, HO explicitly state on their website that intention not to stay in the UK is provable by means of a declaration. They don't say anything about the validity of a retrospective declaration, but that is my best guess as to how they could appr...

Re: General discussion on CSI and Settled Status. Big issues for people on the EEA-Applications Routes

As now there's a precedent of people who were granted citizenship without CSI. The legislation hasn't changed. So if someone in exactly same circumstances was to apply now as opposed to a year ago they would be rejected because of the timing. How is that consistent ? Yes indeed. Let’s compare two a...

Re: General discussion on CSI and Settled Status. Big issues for people on the EEA-Applications Routes

I found a campaign going on twitter called bye bye to csi, which was set up by a group called the 3million. They urge every EU citizens to write to their MP to call on government to scrap the need of csi. I think it will make a significant impact if everyone could do this. Indeed and very good to b...

Re: General discussion on CSI and Settled Status. Big issues for people on the EEA-Applications Routes

Dear All, Does having an EHIC for the initial two years of my qualifying period (QP) for naturalisation, accompanied by a cover letter stating that during this period I did not have an intention to stay in the UK indefinitely, count as valid CSI? I had private health insurance for the last 3 years ...

Re: AN application for parent with Settled Status + no CSI

It is all because after a year or so HO chose to revert to its previous position re interpretation of the law with settled status not being 'enough' which, in all honesty, it isn't, not under the current legislation anyway. Since settled status is not 'enough' all that PR palava will bleed into Nat...

Re: CSI / Discretion

Regarding requesting discretion. I think this has to be very well explained in a cover letter with sufficient evidence for a caseworker to justify discretion. That’s why in my case a lawyer has written my cover letter to request discretion. The wording about csi appears in online applications since ...

Has anyone seen anyone mention their having applied AFTER 15/05/2020 (the day when I believed the change in interpretation about CSI was released) and been successful , despite not having CSI and needing it? Re: Should I volunteer the information to HO or will they contact me?

I’m not aware you have to exercise treaty rights only one time for 5 years somewhere in the past. I know it’s only valid if you acquired PR and apply with PR as you can backdate it. Also their request is quite obvious talking about the last 3/5 years of lawful residence and not saying any period of ...

Re: Should I volunteer the information to HO or will they contact me?

Yes, the form E104 I have as well it states the beginning and ending of my former insurance.
I didn’t attach nor translated it because I only use the letter confirming everything.
Like I said that was before my qualifying time.
The last 3/5 years it’s what matters.
