Re: Should I volunteer the information to HO or will they contact me?

Regarding lawful residence it’s about the qualifying years only. Of course you provide all info of last ten years of work in your form. You don’t need to contact them as you have the option to provide a cover letter with your documents explaining why you didn’t have csi at some point during your qua...

Re: Fixed penalty notices for citizenship

You can have one FPN in the last 12 months, just not many and you need to declare it in the form.

I’ve never heard one FPN is a reason for a refusal.

Re: General discussion on CSI and Settled Status. Big issues for people on the EEA-Applications Routes

Hi All I am applying for citizenship. I am holder of settled status Non-EU family member but i am confused to tick this option in application. "If you spent some of that time in the UK as a student or as a self-sufficient person, and had comprehensive sickness insurance (CSI), a copy of your s...

Re: General discussion on CSI and Settled Status. Big issues for people on the EEA-Applications Routes

Hi Just wondering if anyone has been asked for CSI? I haven’t heard anything yet from home Office after submitting my application on 24/02 and Biometrics on 18/03 without CSI. Thanks Yes, they did. Some people posted the letters they received from HO when they request additional documents to prove ...

Re: General discussion on naturalization applications

Hi , I have submitted my application on March 24th and paid the fee hoping to get an appointment before COVID shutdown only to realise UKVCAS already stopped taking new appointments. I got a default email acknowledgement and case ID from Home Office on March 30th stating that my application is rece...

Re: General discussion on CSI and Settled Status. Big issues for people on the EEA-Applications Routes

So happy now. after 6 years of anguish, I just got an email from the home office 2 min ago saying that my BC application was successful. My case was complicated as I haven't exercised treaty right. I doubted they would granted to me, I wrongly prejudge them and I apologise for it. Now I am 100% sur...

Hey guys,

I just got my approval this morning despite being a student without CSI during some of my time here.

Good luck to everyone else in this situation; hope this is a bit reassuring!
Congratulations!

When did you apply and would have needed CSI if I may ask?

Re: General discussion on CSI and Settled Status. Big issues for people on the EEA-Applications Routes

Once more regarding “misleading information”. I would say make a screenshot about the time and number you called. It’s their number and their employees. I called the Home Office about information and not a third party. If they cannot answer general questions or train their stuff isn’t my concern. T...

Re: General discussion on CSI and Settled Status. Big issues for people on the EEA-Applications Routes

I called the home office today as well and they said the samething :) *fingers crossed* I really hope this is the case and wish the best of luck to all applicants. It could certainly shed some light on the matter. However, taking the Devil's advocate side for a moment, I'd like to stress that the p...

But we can worry and drive another mad.

Or think positive and with common sense that any change
would apply from the day a change has been published:
and that’s the 14th May.

Re: General discussion on CSI and Settled Status. Big issues for people on the EEA-Applications Routes

I understand the argument could be this has always been a requirement. But how do they explain numerous of applications being approved from 2018 until now with Settled Status and without CSI requirement? So all what I would have need to do is to apply a day earlier than I was allowed to do and CSI w...

Re: General discussion on CSI and Settled Status. Big issues for people on the EEA-Applications Routes

Someone said they called HO and it was said it’s only for the time the guidance is in place. Which makes sense I’ve seen a lot of people now being approved and CSI wasn’t a topic. However if that’s the case the guidance came out 14th of May which would mean it’s a requirement from that day on? But t...

Re: General discussion on CSI and Settled Status. Big issues for people on the EEA-Applications Routes

Thank you very much everybody. For those who’ve asked: I’ve been a student and self-sufficient since I arrived in the UK in 2012. I submitted the application on 5 Feb and gave fingerprints a week later. First of congratulations! It means you didn’t have CSI in that 8 years, but would have needed it...
