Re: Life in the UK test

What "some people" are saying are just approaches one can take, for example if there's absolutely no proof of it being taken previously it's easier just to take it again. Trying to get help from UKVI is time consuming and probably fruitless. Yes , there IS proof in this instance. He took ...

Re: Life in the UK test

Update: he just took it and passed  but there’s a slight issue. His first name and surname have been swapped… We did call the helpline and they said it shouldn’t be an issue when he comes to apply next summer. I just wanted some opinions on this. Do you think it will cause any issues or is it ...

Life in the UK test

Hi,

Sorry if this topic already exists or is in the wrong place.

My husband is currently on the 5 year spouse route and the final 2.5 years are up next September (2025).
So he has just over 12 months to go.
Is he ok to do the Life in the UK test now? Will it expire?

Thanks
S

Re: ILR application - rolling tenancy

There is no period. For proof of adequate accommodation you need: The applicant should provide evidence as to the basis on which the accommodation is or will be owned or occupied (including rented) by the family unit . This may for example be in the form of a copy of the property deeds, a letter fr...

Re: ILR application - rolling tenancy

Thank you, everyone. I'm a bit confused because in the previous two applications, we were required to submit tenancy agreements along with bills addressed to us. Our current contract expires on July 6th, so we won't have an active agreement after that date. My question is, if we purchase a house or ...

Re: ILR application - rolling tenancy

My concern is whether this arrangement will be accepted when we apply for ILR. Yes. There is no law that says you must have a new signed tenancy agreement each time the last one runs out. I have requested a new contract stating the rolling status and, You are contradicting yourself here. You cannot...

ILR application - rolling tenancy

Hi everyone, I apologize if this topic has been discussed before. My partner is on the 5-year route, and the last 2.5 years will be completed next year, meaning we will be applying for ILR (Indefinite Leave to Remain). Everything has been going smoothly, but our tenancy agreement ends on 06/07/2024....

Re: FLR(M) Extension

Thank you. Just a question as this is bugging me and I really never understand so some help/opinions would be fab. We have applied today, super priority (I will post in the timeline thread later) The thing that is bothering me is this; my spouse's visa expires on 18th March 2023. We submitted the ap...

Life in the UK test

Hi Please forgive me if this question already exists or if it is the wrong section. My husband is about to apply for his spouse visa extension soon and hopefully as it’s a straightforward case, we shouldn’t have an issues (fingers crossed) Once he gets the decision, obviously after 2.5 years we can ...

Re: Letter of employment hibeve

What type of visa are you applying for? If it is the Spouse visa then the employment verification letter is compulsory. They have no reason not to provide you with such letter, unless they have something to hide. Seems a bit strange to me as they have done it twice before for you. Contract, P60, pay...

Re: FLR(M) Extension

Sorry all... Not sure if this topic already exists but for the FLRM extension, is the 5-day decision not available? I am asking because today we went to see a solicitor and they have said we could go for either the 24 hour or 5 day decision if we wanted to. However, the Government website says for t...

Re: FLR(M) Extension

Thank you so much for helping out. This forum is honestly a blessing. So I have finally accumulated the cohabitation evidence. We will be applying W/C 20th Feb so I have evidence from January 2021, is that ok? Below is what I have gathered. There is only one bill individually addressed as I think we...

Re: FLR(M) Extension

Another example is our Council tax - date of letter is March 2022 but the pay period is April 2022 - March 2023

Not sure which month the letter would be for.
I am assuming March 2022 as that is the date we received it?

Re: FLR(M) Extension

Thanks

I am a bit confused about my water bill

It is a 6 month statement.

For example: February 2021 to August 2021

However, the issue date on the bill is September 2021.

So can I use this bill for cohabitation proof for August or September?

Re: FLR(M) Extension

In terms of bank statements, do they still need to be stamped by the bank if they’re downloaded from my online banking?

Thank you

Re: FLR(M) Extension

Thanks.
So i am assuming it’s ok for the letter to have no address on it/not addressed to anyone?

It was the same for the letter we had for the first application made 2.5 years ago

Re: FLR(M) Extension

Also, Is this letter from my Employer ok? It will be on company headed paper. It doesn’t have my address or the HO address. It is signed by my company’s HR admin: To whom this may concern, I am writing this letter to confirm Selina is an employee of COMPANY NAME. Her employment commenced on 10th May...
