Hi guys

I sent JR letter to department through my solicitor 3 weeks and the department has negotiated the time with us. They said they ll process it within 3 months . They said that last week. Is 3 months normal or just an excuse to delay more ?

My problem with going the JR route is why do some applicants have to spend more for the same privilege as any other applicant who gets a decision within months? Time and again we have seen on this forum where applications have not been touched in years and in some cases only action is a yearly ritu...

they have done three time garda vetting since I submitted my application How strange. Did you see any requests made to the police in Pakistan or were all three requests made to Garda Siochana only? And what are the time gaps between those requests roughly? I will probably request mine as well later...

I got my FOI records today..there is nothing much in it ..most of documents are which I sent them with my application and my email communication with the department ..last thing they did with my application they requested garda vetting on 18th November 2020 and it came back 8th December 2020 .. they...

Shelter, I think it is a positive response, to my knowledge FOI is a right, and you should get it, but I think of it in another way and positively, they mean you will no longer require your file as you will get a decision even before the specified period, they told you previously that your applicat...

If you followed correct procedure they won't reject your request. You will get an email with your file in PDF format. You have a right to obtain a copy of the record they have about you.
