Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Called UKVCAS this afternoon, asked questions similar to others, no useful information at all. they either told me 'don't know' or 'can't see it from the system'. Not sure how this could be called as 'support line', what are they supporting?

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Spoken to ukvcas. And they were not accepting that they sent any email with deadline of 10th August but the only deadline which was given for opt out is 7th. Moreover, they were unable to find my email which I sent to opt out. So I resent these again. No news about when they would allow the biometr...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Yeah, so called technology and IT company uses manual process to sort out opt-out emails and it takes them 3 weeks to do it. I wonder, how they managed to get this contract with UKVI. It feels more like stone age than 21st century. Shall we start using pigeons to post opt-out letters as well? It’s ...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Just realized that I’ve sent the opt-out email to admin.ukvas@soprasteria.com . UKVAS? Is it a typo or they did it on purpose? I think it's the address they included in that opt out email. Hope it's just another 'tiny' mistake they made, like those grammar mistakes they made in their Twitter accoun...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Another day to wait and guess what we almost in September just hate them and hate whole situation Exactly my feelings. Another day has passed. It will be 2 weeks since they offered opt out as a quick option. Unfair, injustice, discriminating. Nonsense. And, I have been waiting since 29 March. I am ...

yep, waiting from the beginning of Apr... May I ask if you are in the re-use group and if you decided to wait or opt-out? I believe appointment is the way to make money for them, so 97% sure there will be lots of them for people who opt-out, and they will most likely be expensive 8) I think it is a...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Tried to ring UKVCAS, stayed on the line for nearly 2 hours, charged me tons of money but no one picked up the phone - this company is absolutely a joke! Rang Home Office, again, spoke to some useless people who can’t you tell you a thing, and he sounded like as if he just got out of bed... Same he...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Really don't know what to do now... opt out for an appointment may lead to further delay as we don't know how soon we can book the appointment; wait for photo app may even take longer as no one knows what does 'a few weeks' and 'in phase' mean!! Does that mean another month waiting or longer? At lea...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

If you are working in an established company with good reputation and promised to deliver something important to your clients with a vague deadline (eg a few weeks), you are lucky if you can get this idea pass through the management team and wouldn't get complained by your clients. You will be extre...

Another lucky person who applied on 5 June: https://www.immigrationboards.com/indefinite-leave-to-remain/ilr-timelines-set-o-set-f-set-m-not-set-lr-pls-t231555-1120.html Really happy for them, but feel that we've been 'punished' by this re use biometric policy which is meant to accelerate the proces...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

I think we shouldn't treat people who works in the front line and who are part of the management team as a homogeneous group. We appreciate and truely thankful for those who work in the front line but it doesn't mean the management team is doing their job properly. Everyone faces different circustam...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

I saw someone who submitted the application on 6 April already received the approval email. It's just confusing how this 'reuse biometric' works... Do you mean email to reuse biometrics or actual approval on their application? Thanks approval on application. https://www.immigrationboards.com/indefi...

Re: Tier 2 ILR

Hello experts, my salary reaches the threshold but I put my weekly hours worked as '40', would that be an issue? Please do not tag your questions onto other users topics. HO calculates the salary based on 39 hours per week and calculate it pro-rata if your hours are more, if the relevant SOCs state...

Delay of application and its implications

Hello all,

Can I ask if anyone knows under the current situation (Covid 19 plus the closure of UKVCAS), if i submitted my ILR application online, but later got sick or lost the job, would my application still be valid?

Thanks a lot for your help in advance!
