Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Received generic email from the FLR M validation home office team this morning, advising visa processing may be delayed outside of the standard 8 weeks processing time. 'Please be assured we will do all we can to make a decision on your case as quickly as possible once your biometric details have b...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, UKVI could have partnered "again" with post-office and allowed biometric submission from there, similar to how it was in Oct 2018 and before.

Applicants have already paid £19.60 for the biometrics, why make them pay again for a useless service

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Personal opinion only in regards to the topic of biometric submission to UKVI UKVCAS has nothing to gain but everything to lose if applicants submit via IDV App. Therefore they are holding back on the: speed with which the invites are sent to the applicants. In current day and age, I am not sure wha...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

It is very disappointing and unfortunate that UKVCAS gives broad timeline for IDV App. In the updated FAQ from 14th Aug, they mentioned week commencing 17th Aug, while they would have already known that nothing will be available till mid-day Thursday. They could have given a timeline of 20th August ...

Once account is enabled, UKVCAS system will ...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

should there be a separate thread for the IDV App , as the roll-out deadline of 31st August comes closer... ? I appreciate it would be cleaner in an ideal scenario to have single thread on appointments AND IDV - however given the current situations with pandemic and scarcity of the information, it w...

It will be interesting to see when IDV App becomes available....

If by remain OPT-IN - the applicant gets no benefit of quick biometrics (as compared to OPT-OUT or not eligible for reuse) then what's the point of this new approach?

Agree, they gave an official timeline to thousands of applicants by email saying that appointments will be released this week (which gives them until Sunday). You should submit a formal complaint at: https://www.ukvcas.co.uk/contact-us/complaint UKVCAS (as per contract with UKVI must by law) do the...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

The forecast on when more centres will open keeps changing. This is utter incompetence and total disrespect to the applicants, who are paying customers. Since UKVI has created a monopoly of UKVCAS, there is nothing an applicant can reasonably do, other than keep getting false & misleading inform...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

It will be unreasonable to ask local MP to pester UKVI / UKVCAS / Home Office just after making an application. However two months with no appointment would seem serious situation for the MP to intervene. Reason I put end of August is because looking at this forum thread, it seems a lot is planned ...

Introducing the UKVCAS IDV app . . Rollout of the IDV app will take place in phases, beginning in August . We will invite eligible customers to use the new IDV app rather than require you to book an appointment at a UKVCAS service point. . . An invitation will be sent for you to use the new IDV app...

UKVI reuse fingerprint criteria

If you’ve given your fingerprints before If UKVI can reuse the fingerprints you’ve already given, they’ll email you with instructions on how to send them an image of your face and your supporting documents. This will mean you do not have to attend an SSC to provide biometric information. Is it poss...
