Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Could someone please post September and October set LR application list? I'd be happy to start if someone could tell me what the format should be. I've applied on 25/10. What do you mean by "list"? I'm working on the Set LR stats. A "list" for October wouldn't be much use since ...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Cheers! You're a walking encyclopedia! :) Set LR applications are processed in Liverpool Thank you! I noticed the most recent LR approvals are for the ones who applied on 2nd Sep, hope we can get results in a week or two! Yeah, there have been approvals for a couple of applications further on in Se...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Hi all, Apologies if this has been covered previously but any explanation on why Set LR takes longer to process than the other ILR categories? Nobody really knows...could be a number of reasons but I suspect it eventually comes down to resources available for, and allocated to the Set LR caseworkin...

Re: Taking on additional work while waiting for ILR decision and unemployed

Hi Zimba, Thanks for the response but I believe it is more nuanced than that. I can only do what is allowed under T2G guidelines, i.e. take an additional secondary job as long as I'm working for my T2G sponsor (as ajitu92 pointed out). In a case where I've since been made redundant but have a SET LR...

Re: Taking on additional work while waiting for ILR decision and unemployed

Hi Ajitu92, agreed my view upon reading the guidelines are in sync with yours. When you had the offer for a temporary contract, did you ask the companies lawyers to see what would be possible? Also, does that fact that I'm on section 3c currently (my t2g had expired three weeks after I applied for t...

Taking on additional work while waiting for ILR decision and unemployed

Dear forum members and experts, I am currently unemployed with a SET LR application under progress. I understand that during this period I'm only allowed to work for my current T2G sponsor. Am I still allowed to take on additional work while I'm waiting for a decision to be made? The additional work...

Re: Query on my SET LR Application

Thank you both. Yes, I can confirm that I applied for the T2G extension before my LTR expired on the 4th of June. I came in to the UK on 22nd August 2010 so I made my application for SET LR well after the 10 year anniversary. Cullinan - you make an interesting point though, if my new SET LR applicat...

Query on my SET LR Application

Dear forum members - looking for advice on my application. I'm creating a new topic as my previous one was closed. I had originally applied for a T2G extension (25th May) until I varied that application to a SET LR (25th October). I recieved an email from Home Office (2 Nov) confirming whether I ind...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Hi all, I've applied for my SET (LR) after having waited over 5 months to get my Tier 2 G extension approved with my current employer. After completing the payment for the application I've been looking for appointment availability but there seems to be no slots. Last night as I checked, Birmingham ...

Re: Applying for ILR through 10 year long term - need some assistance

Thank you, The offers me more clarity but also a lot more uncertainty. I forsee that there will be a time where my wife might need to move back to India during the time that my ILR is being processed to avoid her overstaying. Can you please tell me if she has a certain duration from the time the de...

Re: Applying for ILR through 10 year long term - need some assistance

Thank you, Is it true that SET(LR) applications are relatively straightforward, reflected by the minimal documents, and will take lesser time to process compared to other settlement routes if the application is not complex? Thank you on your reply regarding my dependent. It is very obvious that when...

Re: Applying for ILR through 10 year long term - need some assistance

What does this mean for her when I vary to ILR and eventually get ILR? Does her 3c stay continue until I can apply for her FLR M? Does changing from Tier 2 to ILR impact her 3c stay? She must vary to FLR(M) if you vary to SET(LR). If she does not vary, her tier 2 dependent visa extension will be re...

Re: Applying for ILR through 10 year long term - need some assistance

Thank you Seagull - no to both. She is not employed and we don't have £62500 in savings. Seems like the best way out is for me to get a job and then sponsor her FLR M under the assumption that her 3c stay is valid during this period and she is not overstaying.

Re: Applying for ILR through 10 year long term - need some assistance

And just to add - through the "reasonable way to approach" just stated, there is no danger of her overstaying?
