JUST.DON'T.DO.IT.

Seriously, it will be the worst decision you will have ever made. I've lived here in London all of my life and it is a nasty, dirty, overpopulated, expensive, violent city and i cannot wait to leave.

2 years then probationary citizenship for minimum of 1 year. What i'd like to know is what does someone have to do in that 1 year in order to qualify. Would they even have time to work?

Re: New Stupid Law and family member

It seems like they are even making it harder, depressing and complicated new law and calling it green paper. It should be called as toilet paper. The people who migrate do want to be a part of the society asap but they have found a new way to seperate them out. My question is , does this also effec...

Based upon what they're saying.. It's probably not that different.. It would be 2 years of residency, which would have limited benefits.. and then 1+ years of "probationary citizenship", that would be only 1 year if your spouse were to volunteer enough (based on criteria not yet determine...

I'm trying to get my head around this, i really am, but cannot work out how this will affect my situation. I am a UK citizen and my American spouse will be coming to live with me in London, in September. What will the route to citizenship look like for her now? Before it was 2 years residency, then ...

UK Spouse visa question

I was recently told on this forum that the EEA Family permit applicaitons are no longer done face to face, but are now by mail/courier only, is this also the case with the UK Spouse visa? or can you still apply in person.

Thanks,

Hi Jaj, thanks for your post, i had a look into the PPRON method briefly and it states that is for only British citizens, would this mean i would have to get my wife to the UK via a UK spousal visa? do you think i'd get a spouse visa with the evidence that i've listed?

thanks for any help mate.

Didn't think of that, thanks. So you think this evidence will suffice for the EEA Family Permit? as proof of relationship that is.

Thanks for the replies,

In light of the evidence that i would have to show, the only real difference between the EEA route and the UK spouse visa route is the cost?

Damn, it sounds so much easier when yankeegirl got hers!

Do you think mine would be rejected if we only provided marriage certificate and some photographs as evidence?

Thanks again, i'll do some more research!

Hi Victoria, if they do require more evidence than the marriage certificate why do they not mention it in the application form? I wish they would just be clear about things like this!

Do you have any suggestions on what we could provide as evidence?

Thanks again

Thanks victoria, i did consider the UK visa route but it was very expensive and i was told that it's easy to get rejected and when i consider the fact that me and my girlfriend have only met twice with only a few photographs and emails as evidence, i'm quite sure we would be rejected! Yankeegirl, th...
