Travelling to India with a minor child who has a British Passport

Hello all I am wondering if someone can guide me. We have applied for our childrens' first British passports and are hoping to get them in the next few weeks. The parents, we, still are Indian citizens and hold valid Indian passports. I know that the situation right now is making it impossible for a...

Re: Guidance for Baby Born in UK to get British Passport

Yes, you can apply online. Follow this link: https://www.gov.uk/apply-citizenship-born-uk/under-18

Dont worry about not having dependant visa for him. It does not matter.

Re: MN1 online application

I've had the same problem when I applied for my children. Teacher was not ok to give DOB and passport number. I found some other referee who was a company director and submitted his referral . After submitting the application, I have updated a covering note stating that I was not able to gather deta...

I have been following the MN1 timelines thread and it appears no one is receiving approval mail anyway so...

MN1 cert - royal mail?

Can any of you who received MN1 registration certificate recently cofirm whether HO use RoyalMail to deliver these? We have been having some problems with royalmail delivery in London and I want to calm myself down with an assumption that the certs are already dispatched and will be with us when RM ...

Re: MN1 prep work - queries

3) No. You'll need your BRP card. The BRP approval mail clearly states that "You will receive your Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) by courier within 7 working days. It is your BRP, not this letter, that is the official document that grants you status."

@Ajitu92 Hehe yes  🤳🏼 Your analysis is commendable 👏 Why thank you, what can I say, I have the easy pick in terms of Set LR as it is all falling in order! It seems to be 'falling in order' for only those who managed to submit in-person bio metrics (I include myself in that finite few lucky one...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

By the way, the covering letter that comes with the BRP card does not indicate that the old BRP is to be cut into pieces and sent to the 'BRP Returns' address. However, I followed the members' advice and sent my old BRP card back.

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

They replied with the info that the application has already been submitted via IDV and if personal appointment is attended, it will delay the application (due to duplicate records) and recommended cancelling the appointment. I've got my ILR BRP today (on 5th working day post approval). BRP expires on 31st Dec 2024 !
Also, the letter does not say that I'll have to return my previous BRP.

Photo on the new BRP is neither from IDV submission nor from the physical appointment. It was actually from my previous BRP

@Ameline I believe they are going in date order. But once the application is opened by the team, if its straight forward according to HO (not what we think), its passed onto the CW, otherwise its put aside for further enquiries and passed onto CW to make a decision later on.. that may explain some ...

For the biometric appointment, only the applicant is allowed or one person can accompany the applicant ?
My son was with me when I went for the appointment and was allowed without any probs.
