I will suggest you look for a voluntary job first. This will give you the opportunity of having UK experience. There are organisations out there that will quickly grab you if they knew you will only be working for them on voluntary basis. Though, they usually support in the form of reimbursement of ...

I believe people may decide to give advice based on their experiences and those of people they are close to. I have had my own fair share of experience in the UK job market and can also talk about the experience of my friends who came to the UK before and after me. You have the right to either advic...

Why is your employer including the expenses paid for voluntary work as part of your income. That is basically a reimbursement of expenses and should not form part of your income. Moreover, you are not supposed to be paid as a staff since you are only working for the employer in a voluntary capacity....

I totally disagree with republique. Pay is not the only thing you consider when making this kind of decision. The fact that your job is secure should be enough to convince you that taking a permanent job is a better option compared to contract. The terms of a contract job usually make it possible fo...

I had worked with a multinational company as a senior accountant prior to coming to the UK and I was confident then that no employer would see that on my CV and not be tempted to give me a call. Although, I got few calls from recruiters but immediately they knew that you had not worked at any time i...
