Even tried at midnight immediately when slots opened, I could not find any free appointments, instead it shows only the Standard appointments with charge of £110. I have just confimed with VFS, we need to upload only the child's thumb impression. Both parents signature has to be in the declaration form, in the printout.

Guys, I believe the 8 weeks timeline is from the date of acknowledgement not from the date of application.
In the acknowledgement letter it clearly says may take up to 8 weeks to process. I would say its better to wait for 8 weeks from the date of acknowledgement .
