Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Am I correct in assuming that those who receive the biometrics email are at a disadvantage now because they have to wait for many more weeks, and those who are sent an email to attend biometrics are at an advantage as they are able to book appointments via portal? Yes that is most likely true. In t...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

I applied for ILR on July 1st Set(M) and I have received and email tonight at 10:40pm stating that I did not fall into the biometrics reuse even though my last renewal was in Jan 2018. I do have a 9 year old child so maybe that's why. The email stated that the system was now open for me to book an ...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Hi All, I can confirm I've received an email asking me to book an appointment as my Biometrics Reuse was not possible. I applied on 22nd July and Payment confirmed on 23rd July. I was able to book an appointment online about 10 minutes ago for next Thursday 06 August. But I'm yet to receive the ema...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

I have a feeling that they will use EU Exit: ID Document Check app for biometric reuse. Just speculating. But that app is literally what we need. And integrating our data into this app would be the way to go. And it was updated yesterday on App Store: https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/eu-exit-id-docume...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

As has been posted many times now, it is biometric page and stamped pages only. I was not aware stamped pages are also needed. The checklist of documents only indicates "the passport". Do they also need stamped pages of old passports? How else do you prove your residence and absence (that...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Hey SaJaRo, If you already have your documents ready, I would recommend to upload them via UKVCAS, even if they don't use it and end up asking for docs via email (as they did in my case). In my opinion, it is better to offer the documents to them in all available channels, and they can choose whiche...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Hey all, Last Friday, I submitted all docs to UKVI via UKVCAS new submit option. However, today (Monday) I got an email from W&S requesting docs to be sent via email. Note: They asked for a smaller subset of documents, not the full set of documents required. So it seems like W&S team complet...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

I know it feels safer to wait for official comms from UKVI/UKVCAS about the new submit option. But personally, I have a high level of confidence in my documents, so I didn't see any reason to wait. Even if I had waited 2 months, my documents would still be exactly the same. The main reason I did it ...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Hi everyone, just to give some more detail on the new option to submit supporting documents on UKVCAS website. I do not know which day this option became available because I only discovered it after reading this forum. After you uploaded the documents, there is an option to Submit to UKVI. When you ...
