Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Thank you for that one @poper. Someone else just posted regarding their daughter's set LR application being approved (on the timeline thread). Applied on 23rd June. Out of curiosity (and in the interest of my stats spreadsheet :D ) what was the exact date your contact applied? 9th july Thank you @p...

Looks like we are chugging along on Set LR applicants now! Hope Sonic or the Flash become the next Set LR caseworker(s) :D My contact who is not a member here received his SET LR decision. He applied in the second week of July and did in-person biometrics on the 4th September So, certainly th...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

I've done some statistics on Set (LR) applications and it seems like we are looking at an average of 100 days between date of application and decision, in most cases where complexities haven't been raised by UKVI/HO (based on forum research). So I would expect the July Set (LR) applicants to start ...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

I'm super happy for everyone getting ILR decisions I'm just wondering why set (LR) applications are much slower (prioritised lower)? Does it have to do with the checking process or number of applications or perception of urgency to the applicant or number of case workers assigned to the set? The re...

Re: Right to work

Hi everyone, I am holding T2 general visa. I have applied my ILR in July based on LR. I have not got the decision yet. But my current contract with my employer will be finished by this month. I need to start a new job. Can I start a new job during the waiting time? I have contact HO, someone said I...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

I have a question. If HO (UKVI) is sending BRP card, will they send it to Solicitor or to applicant's address (if ILR application is made through solicitor). If they send to solicitor, will the packet (envelope) be addressed to solicitor or will it be addressed to applicant's name. If the solicitor...

1. "Since you started living in the UK have you spent time outside the UK?" If I went to Canada and then the US from there and back to the UK from the US, which country do I put as "Where did you spend time outside the UK?" Canada or US? - Put in the final destination and explain...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

I agree. We only applied in August (NOT using app.), chose Sept. 8 for interview/biometrics in Reading, received email saying successful 10 days later, and bioemetric card arrived last week. We had a strong case - own our house outright, easily cover financials, etc. - maybe (as someone mentioned) ...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

I don't think the wait is long enough to get on your nerves!! you are an August applicant who submitted bio via IDV only on 05/09. There are people who waited for way too long and I give all my solidarity with them. If you have no emergency, I do not see why you have contacted your MP. For August a...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

This is getting ridiculous that the June applicants are still waiting for the decision. The people who applied after me (August) are getting faster decisions. It is a good thing that they are getting faster decisions but how on earth the UKVI is prioritizing the applications. Ahhhhhhh... this is ge...

Re: ILR - UKVI Delay Notice

It's a generic email. The reality is no one knows the criteria for who gets sent these generic emails so there is no way to know whether it is because it has been picked up.

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

@ajitu92 This is very weird of them. Also because when I went for my appointment I had uploaded 43 documents and the guy didn't check all of them, BTW why did you upload 43 documents?! SET(LR) has very minimum documents required. Maybe 4/5 files only  I submitted 80+ documents for ILR (LR) b...

@ajitu92 No issues. Aye, thank you. You just would've thought that they'd at least put the bare minimal effort in, but I guess even that is too much to ask. Anyway, the long wait continues for what see like INDEFINITELY for set LR applicants...HA HA Tbh, in my personal opinion scanning servi...

@Cristina88 If you can see your cover letter submitted on UKVCAS, then no issues. Possibly the staff did not check properly. Anyways, even if the staff scanned your cover letter again, no issues. Log in your UKVCAS account. Do you see 2 cover letters now?? And as posted by another member the decisi...

Hi all

I saw a member ask the question a few days back about the email address from which the decision email comes. I did not see any response to that question.

What email address does the decision letter come from?

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

UKVI have told us that they aim to deal with ALL applications in date order That is not true I think, the random order of decisions speaks volumes Always remember that the devil is in the details. The devil here being that just because decisions are not in date order does NOT mean that the applicat...
