Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Hi, For those who have submitted their application after 28th August - when can we expect biometric appt or IDV? Thanks People who have applied until 4th Sept should be getting them now. For the ones after - no idea yet. UKVCAS should be updating their service status flash messages soon (I hope, gi...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Have just seen (on an FB group) the screenshot of the email being sent to people today. It mentions applications received between 29th Aug - 4th Sept. So anyone who has applied on/between these dates, best get checking on appointments/app login! Thanks for sharing. No worries at all! More than happ...

Someone who applied on 31st Aug has reported to have received an email to book an appointment.
Can others who applied on/after 28th Aug check you maybe able to book now?
Can't see any appointments yet. Applied on 8th Sept

Re: ILR - Long Residence Eligibility Check (Continuous Residence)

Thank you once again @seagul, appreciate it.

Regarding the FPN and PCNs, everything was settled/attended in time.

Regarding point 4, the form actually does ask me to declare details of my partner. So what needs to be done in this case?

Re: ILR - Long Residence Eligibility Check (Continuous Residence)

I would like to thank everyone for their continued guidance. I have now filled out my LR application and about to submit, but just wanted to double check a few things for peace of mind before I do. The form asks whether you have any children. I have answered "No" as I don't have any of my ...

Re: Question about status of approval letter

No problem at all, just trying to do what I can to help. I completely empathise with your situation given that I was made redundant at the start of the year too, and have been through many sleepless stressful nights myself. You're entirely right in citing the size of the redundancy pool vs the emplo...

Re: Question about status of approval letter

To err on the side of caution it's always better to wait until you have your BRP in your hand. With regards to your question specifically about the approval letter, I will let someone else with more experience chime in. Just curious though, even if there is another round of redundancies in mid/late ...

Re: Passport and travel history lost - ILR

In addition to what the other users have suggested, you could also apply for a UKVI Subject Access Request (SAR). This may give you more insight into what records UKVI hold against your name including electronically held landing cards and entry/exit dates from the UK. It can take up to 30 days (I'm ...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Are the timescale of decisions same after biometrics for all ILR categories? Are there any set LR applicants who gave biometrics recently have received their decisions? And after how many days of biometrics? By looking on following LR timeline, it seems that the decisions are not being made as fast...

Re: ILR - Long Residence Eligibility Check (Continuous Residence)

I would like to thank all the posters on this thread for their continued support and guidance. I am happy to report that I still haven't received a curtailment letter/notice, so even if I was to get one tomorrow I will safely be able to meet the LR requirements even without the 28 day (application p...

I am not sure if you checked, but advice initially was given by user “seagul” who is a Diamond member (diamond member rank is higher than a senior member.) Plus for your sake you may want to go through the following link and follow moderator Zimba’s advice related to a similar situation: https://ww...

Re: Hello, 10 years long residence Please Help!

Just another thought. I'm not sure on the accuracy of this suggestion, so I hope one of the moderators or senior members can clarify whether it is a sound idea. Are you eligible to extend your PBS dependant visa? If so, have you considered submitting an application to extend the PBS dependant visa a...

Re: ILR - T2 General - LIUK Test

Many Thanks for the responses. I am inclined towards marking the Home Office Reference number question as NO, as the OUR REF on my T2 General visa letter is not being accepted by the Registration form. I am just wondering if the Home Office Reference number is the same as BRP Number, although I app...

I have 'OUR REF' Number on my T2 General Visa Approval...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

@ajitu92 Yes there is no certainty when the IDV app will be rolled out. But, I believe, the processing of the application AFTER the biometrics is sent (via UKVCAS appointment OR IDV app) will result in the same pace decisions. Obviously there is no evidence for now unless the IDV app is rolled out,...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Hi everyone, I applied to Set(O) around mid April and I am in the biometric reuse category. As stated in the last email from UKVCAS, if you want to get an urgent decision, you still have the option to opt out. I am trying to understand how opting out and arrange an appointment with UKVCAS can help ...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Thought I would chip in here, as I am due to make a set LR application at the end of the month and it's very likely that I would end up in the biometric reuse group, given that I have had a successful T2G extension/change just a year ago. I believe the whole delay with the IDV app has been on purpos...

Re: ILR Funded by new employer

As Zimba has already clarified, for the Tier 2 PBS based ILR (5 year) route you are required to obtain documents supporting your application from the CURRENT sponsor. It is true that it is your choice to continue employment with your current sponsor AFTER your ILR and BRP are granted. As I see it yo...
