Out of curiosity did anyone ever apply for Irish passport without having to submit their original passport along with application?

Re: Received Approval Letter but out of state for more than 4 weeks

Thank you very much Vorono and Littlerr for your advice, very much appreciated.
I hope it's not going to be objectionable or considered fraudulent to sign declaration over videocall by INIS. Thanks again

Re: Does automatic stamp 4 extension apply to the people outside state

Basically the purpose of visa is to come to Ireland to get extension of stamp 4 i imagine so i guess you can apply under visit visa category and explain your cause in a cover letter

Birth registration certificate and Passport processing time for Irish born child

Dear all, Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Just wanted to know how much time are they taking to issue a birth certificate, previously it was a walk-in service and it was issued straightaway. Now you are required to post or email the application. So question number 1 is what's the preferred m...

Re: Citizenship ceremonies on 3rd July 2020

Like i know someone who got second stage letter and another person whose referee got a call within a week of submission of his application. This all means that they are working and there will be ceremonies to complete the process.

Re: Citizenship ceremonies on 3rd July 2020

I don't believe they will just delay the virtual ceremony. Last pilot ceremony was during worse period of COVID so i guess they will be able to work a way out now when things have actually improved. Predictions keep coming that COVID might still be here for next few year so i don't think that delayi...

Re: Reporting changes while Naturalization Application In Process

Thanks for your reply. I understand that Naturalization department won't issue passport. My question is again the same. Do they expect us to report even after approval letter is issued and ceremony has not taken place?

Reporting changes while Naturalization Application In Process

Hi Guys! Wanted to ask a question, up-to what stage do we need to keep updating Citizenship Department of new developments for example change in employment, traffic offences or change in any other significant circumstances? I mean is it till issuance of actual passport or what?

Re: Irish Citizenship based on Irish children

Thanks for the detailed response. I wonder if this is an accepted route of naturalisation then why would they delay applications or create ambiguity. Doesn't makes sense to me.
