Re: ILR LR 28 days rule, visa issuance or date of entry??

Another follow up question please: I am seeing lots of applicants mentioning how hard is it go get a super priority slot. Now, if I reach the stage in my online application where I have to pay and choose the standard service. If I decide to wait and keep checking if any slots are released, can I tra...

Re: ILR LR 28 days rule, visa issuance or date of entry??

Many thanks for this- makes sense now! So something I forgot to ask, how are those 28 days calculated? So my 10th anniversary will be 6 January 2022, would that I mean I can apply on the 9th December? Or the arrival date doesn’t count? Thanks

Thank you. it seems there are different rules in calculating this based on the route you are applying thru. Few more works won't hurt!

ILR LR 28 days rule, visa issuance or date of entry??

Hi, I appreciate that this might have been answered before. I am applying shortly for ILR based on 10 years continuous residence in the UK. I have first entered the UK 6th January 2012, but my Tier 4 visa was issued (outside the UK) on 16/12/2011. Now, do I calculate 28 days prior to the visa issuan...

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Hi, Has anyone applying for a standard Tier 2 extension got a UKVI delay notice? My wife and my son have applied for Tier 2 extension/switch on 28th August, IDV app biometrics submitted a week later, but a few days ago we get the UKVI delay notice. It seems all the posts here are on delay notices on...

Re: Tier 2 for child dependant- not straightforward !

Dear CR001- the university has confirmed that I can swap to tier 4 given some recent concessions by the government. Now, would it be best if I swap to tier 4 and include my son as a dependent (he will be switching from Tier 2 dependent?). My concern is that If i switch to tier 4, and he applies for ...

Re: Tier 2 for child dependant- not straightforward !

I see what you mean, I will check with the university and that will be great if all works out ! So in the case, myself/my son would be able to swap/extend our leaves to remain at the same time in the UK with my wife as the sponsor for both of us? If not, I will have to leave the UK with my son and a...

Re: Tier 2 for child dependant- not straightforward !

Hi CR001- Thanks a lot for your reply. The course I will be starting will be a PhD course (3 years at least- October 2023). My wife's visa expires 1 September 2022, so if I swap and be her dependant, wouldn't the university say No and require a full validity Tier 4 visa to complete the PhD programme...

Tier 2 for child dependant- not straightforward !

Hi, My wife is here in the UK on a Tier 2 visa (1.9.2022), whilst i am on a Tier 5 YMS (expires 31st August 2020 due to COVID). Our son was born in the UK, and when we applied for his Tier 2 dependant visa, it was issued with an expiry date similar to mine (the shortest). Now, as my leave expires, I...

Tier 5 (YMS) to Tier 4 (General)

Hello, I am a Canadian citizen living in the UK on a Tier 5 YMS that is been extended till 31st August as per the most recent UKVI COVID-19 page. I have also been offered a PhD scholarship with a start date of 1 October 2020. Now, it is my understanding that due to the current situation, I will able...
