Re: French PACS / Spouse visa

Hello all, I have EUSS pre-settled status as the durable partner of an EU citizen with settled status in the UK. We are planning on getting married next year (preferably PACS) but I have read that unless PACS is done in France, then it is not recognised as a civil partnership in the UK? Is this corr...

Re: civil partnership Visa and university fees

I was wondering about the “3 year” period and if there is any leeway around this? I want to apply to uni for 2023 entry (Sep 1st Start) but will be ordinarily resident in the UK for three years in October of the same year (so approximately 2 years and 11 months resident). Any advice or info would be...

Re: EUSS Residence Card

@kamoe I wouldn't be travelling after Brexit. I meant that I would change the biometrics date for my EUSS card for January but I would ensure that I'm back in the UK on my current EEA card before the end of the year. But I think this could only work assuming that the EEA cards are 'invalidated' when...

Re: EUSS Residence Card

@kamoe what if I were to change the date of my biometrics appointment so that I do it in January, after I travel?

Thank you again!

Re: EUSS Residence Card

@Zerubbabel with what you've said in mind, do you think its okay for me to travel and return to the UK with my EEA card - as long as it is before Brexit - even though my EUSS card is being processed? I don't see why one would invalidate the other!

Re: EUSS Residence Card

Thank you for the clarity! So as long as I return before Brexit, its okay if I travel out and into the UK with my current EEA BC even though the EUSS RC is being processed?

EUSS Residence Card

and just one more question - if I do my biometrics on the 7th, can I use my current EEA card to travel outside the UK while the EUSS card is being processed? (I would make sure to return to the UK before Brexit)

Thank you!

Re: change brc issued under eea to eu settlement

@aw17 have you completed your application? I have the biometrics appointment on the 7th of December and was wondering how long it takes to get the replacement EUSS RC? and also whether we have to return our EEA RCs?

Would really appreciate this info!
Thank you x

EUSS Residence Card

Hello, I have a biometrics appointment to exchange my current EEA RC for an RC issued under the EUSS. The appointment is on the 7th of December. Does anyone know how long it takes for the new EUSS card to be processed/received after biometrics have been enrolled? I was planning to travel abroad from...

Re: Travelling with an EEA Residence Card after Brexit

Hello, In one post Kamoe says the following "If used to successfully apply for the Settlement Scheme, a EEA BRC will be valid until is printed expiration date, NOT December 31st 2020. Since the status granted though the Settlement scheme will be valid after that expiration date, people are invi...

Travelling with an EEA Residence Card after Brexit

Hello, I have been issued with a BRC as the durable partner of an EU citizen. I have read that once I've used the BRC to successfully apply to the EUSS that the BRC will be valid until its expiry date (expiry date on my card is 21/06/20). However, I was wondering whether this 'validity' means that I...

Working on Tier 4 while waiting for decision on EEA EFM residence card

Hello, I am on a Tier 4 visa which expires in January. I recently applied for an EEA EFM (durable partner) residence card and received a COA without work. Since my course is complete, my Tier 4 visa allows me to work full time until my visa expires. However, since I have received a COA without work,...

EEA EFM biometrics and requesting passports back

Hello, I posted my EEA EFM application on the 15th of August, however I have not yet received the biometrics letter. Should I be worried? I also wondered whether they are using previous biometrics for current applications? The last time I gave my biometrics was September 2019 for a Tier 4 visa withi...

Re: EEA (durable partner) Residence Card and EU settlement scheme

I have been living with my partner for 3 years so I have tenancy agreements and council tax bills showing this. This was submitted with my residence card application. Basically you are saying that if my RC is still being processed beyond my current Tier 4 visa, that I will be an overstayer? My lawye...

EEA (durable partner) Residence Card and EU settlement scheme

Hello, I have just sent my documents to the HO via post - applying for an EEA residence card as an unmarried partner of an EU citizen. It says online that these residence cards expire on the 31st of December 2020, but you can apply to the EU settlement scheme up until the 31st of June. Does this mea...
