Re: Form 8 questions

thanks so much hdsgnr and littlerr for taking the time to reply to my questions.

A final question, I want to add my rent agreement as a proof of residence, should I add copies or the original ones? I am not sure if I am going to get them back.

Thanks again!

Form 8 questions

Hi everyone, I am filling up the Form 8 application as non-EU and not marriage. I have a few questions hopefully somebody can help me to solve. 1. My birthplace is bigger the number of squares in the form, should I add a few more squares underneath or abbreviate it. 2. What is the "person Id&qu...

You must submit Employment Detail Summary for tax year 2019, and P60 for years before 2019. Statement of Liability (previously known as P21) is not sufficient.

You don't need to submit any tax document for the current tax year.
I appreciate you reply I found the document you mentioned!

Re: More than 6 weeks outside the country per year

Well, I am already approved and waiting for the ceremony, I just shared my experience :). So in my case, with your example, for Year 2 I only waited 2 weeks. But this is just personal experience, and naturalisation clerks may have different opinions. I know that in the form it's not really clear wh...

As the OP has said in his post, Employment Detail Summary. It’s the replacement of P60 which you can get from your own PAYE portal.
I got a statement of liability for 2019, what can I get for the current year? In the 2020 folder I just have the tax credit certificate.

Re: More than 6 weeks outside the country per year

If getting rejected isn’t your concern then go ahead and apply for it. I would personally recommend waiting for an extra 3 months to cover the two years where your absence is more than 6 weeks, but it’s up to you. If you get rejected because of this, you would have wasted at least 6-12 months by th...

Re: More than 6 weeks outside the country per year

I strongly advise you not to take a risk. Wait until you have 5 years without absences over 6 weeks per year. You might have read someone saying they were approved despite being away for more than 6 weeks, but you won't know if they lied on the form, or if it was an exceptional situation. Every app...

More than 6 weeks outside the country per year

Hi, I have been outside of Ireland for more than 6 weeks in two year-period before the application . 2015/2016 - 30 days 2016/2017 - 53 days 2017/2018 - 39 days 2018/2019 - 67 days 2019/2020 - 28 days I wonder if I should wait longer before apply to make up that time. I have checked with two differe...

Re: gap in GNIB stamp

Hello,
I had the same situation back in 2018 and I didn't have any problem at getting the stamp 4. I think they are aware of the difficulties of getting an appointment.
Regards,
Gloria

Application with solicitor or without?

Hello, This is Gloria I am planning to apply for the Irish naturalization in October. I have been living in Ireland for the last 6 years with stamp 1 and 4, no EU/EEA. I am wondering if I should hire a solicitor for the application or doing it by myself, the price of the solicitor is quite high but ...
