Re: Tier 1 COVID19 jobs concession update.

Hi everyone, I just went through a successful ILR application (self prepared)(3 dependents) , and the rule applied 'furlough of 80% from government and 20% from employer' for all the months was acceptable. The only document I was asked to produce was HMRC Starter checklist for PAYE for all the empl...

Re: Tier 1 COVID19 jobs concession update.

Hi Culinan, I'm posting this here, because of the furlough/ Covid 19 thread, so hopefully not fringing on the rules. With the new furlough rules saying that governments will publish the companies on .gov.uk, which is fine, but if I have accessed furlough for the two members of staff( I have 4 in tot...

Re: Payroll without accountant

Hi Marcnath, I've been thinking about what you wrote, and I am trying to calculate how many hours of work my staff are missing on the unpaid leave option. If the requirements are one job at 30 hours, and it was split in this manner: Staff A on 28 hours Staff B on 7 hours Total hours per week 35. Sta...

Re: Payroll without accountant

I forgot to clarify I am Pre- ILR as opposed to extension, making this whole issue even more stressful, I have to apply in May 2021. With regards to your 2nd option as I can't go back and manipulate the information, I don't understand what you mean by "In the job Table, you can even list that p...

Re: Payroll without accountant

Hi Marcnath, Oh dear ok. The issue is that the payslips were for January ie this month which is when the staff member is on holiday. So in the case of the covering the shortfall of hours in the shop whilst she is away I have been covering her shifts so work hasn't suffered. I didn't think of hiring ...

Re: Payroll without accountant

Thanks Marcnath. Right I have another query which is in connection to one I had posted a few months ago when my staff member asked for her holidays. My worry is that she is contracted to 28 hours per week and another staff member makes the shortfall of 7 hours to make one job of 30 hours plus for th...

Re: Payroll without accountant

Thanks Marcnath. I have another odd question, with the Pre- ILR application under Tier 1 Entp. do we need to submit an updated set of accounts, reason I ask this is that my annual account were submitted in Nov 2020, and the next lot will be due in Nov 2021, however, my application for ILR will be en...

Re: Payroll without accountant

Hey guys, Happy New Year! Due to the 3rd lockdown, I'm reviewing the staff contracts I have and am thinking to switch them to 0 hour contracts as long as the 30 hours per week are done( min requirements for the visa rules), and make sure the 2 jobs are on going just the hours are worked differently ...

Re: Tier 1 corona jobs concession update.

@maria would it be possible to share your cover letter please as I am a little confused, because from my understanding of the furlough rules, the payslip has to show the 80% as the RTI information to HMRC shows that, so did your payslips show 100% of the salary but you claimed 80% from HMRC and topp...

Re: Tier 1 corona jobs concession update.

@ Culinan can I ask Maria a question on her thread or I'm not allowed to? I wondered if she'd be ok to share what her cover letter said with regards to the furlough and how she explained that to the HO in her application?

Oh sorry Marcnath I thought you guys just didn't want comments on other people's questions, I didn't know it also meant we couldn't start new threads as questions themes are different at each point. Thanks for putting it all here. And thanks for the feedback about the accountant.

So they finally updated the Coronavirus page! So now all 3 documents state the same. I'm glad I kept emailing them about this, finally consistency.

Payroll without accountant

Hello all, I was wondering if any of your on Tier 1 Entp visa have done your own payroll without an accountant and is it straightforward to do on your own to submit the information and ensure that there is a papertrail for all the staff that can then be easily submitted for visa paperwork? Thank you...

Re: Nature of Business under Tier-1 Enterprenure visa

As you can see it's because I said it's a similar thread and I did say it,but it seems you would prefer new threads and almost repetitive questions. I've created a new thread, and this is only the 2nd time I have tagged onto someone else's thread. Please don't insinuate I do it every time I use this...

Tier 1 business question

Ok here is the question on a new thread: Marcnath, in regards to another conversation but as it's in a similar vein but since you don't like tagging on other thread albeit may be similar in nature. Here is the questions again: What happens to Tier 1 business owners who for eg spent the £50K on a fir...

Re: Nature of Business under Tier-1 Enterprenure visa

Marcnath, I hope it's ok for me to post on this post as I know you guys don't like it when someone joins a conversation but as it's in a similar vein thought to ask here. What happens to Tier 1 business owners who for eg spent the £50K on a first business and were successful until extension stage. B...

Truthfully, not explicitly.

Did she take the furlough money from HMRC, or did she simply just pay her staff 80%?

Re: Tier 1 corona jobs concession update.

Hi Cullinan, It’s amazing how quickly this lady’s case was approved in light of the fact that she was refused her extension and used furlough. Which is amazing! Ah stressful as I often find it’s luck of the draw with the CW on the day the application goes in. Really lucky for her and I hope my appli...

Re: Tier 1 corona jobs concession update.

Hello, I noticed today the 5th Nov document has now been updated and alot of the information has been removed in the 2/12/20 version 26. The wording is better in my opinion but still makes me doubt/ worry if I do put staff on furlough using government funds. https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/...

Re: Tier 1 corona jobs concession update.

That's one way to look at it, but the funds essentially came from the government, so for the businesses that are struggling in light of the lack of revenue, and are struggling to pay the salaires, are indirectly taking the money from the government to pay the staff, that would have otherwise been co...
