Claiming child benefit if parent is British but child is on visa

Hi,

Please advise on this situation.

I have acquired British citizenship and passport but my child who is 5 years old is on FLRM visa.

I wanted to check if I can claim child benefit for my child and if I do so, will that affect my child in getting his ILR and citizenship later on.

Thanks very much

Hi, I have now submitted all docs for FLRM visa including a updated cover letter as got my ILR approved last week. I know it's a long shot but just thought to clarify if both my wife and son who will be going into FLRM visa would be immediately eligible for Naturalization after getting ILR in 5 year...

Re: Dependent eligibility for ILR - Main application Long residence ILR submitted

A sub question on address evidence. It was mentioned that evidence should be given by equally spreading it. Council tax statement issued before finance year begins is one I was planning to use as it is in joint name. I have one issued in Mar 2020 but strangely the one issued the year before was issu...

Re: Dependent eligibility for ILR - Main application Long residence ILR submitted

Just one question @seagul

B) Instead uploading then removing it, why not you upload it very close to your appointment.
Question: I can upload all other documents now but covering letter alone I can wait until last moment to upload right or your suggestion is to upload all docs at the last moment

Just one final query. Can I start filling the application now so I can start collecting documents or evidences required for the application but save it and not submit until decision on my ILR arrives.

Re: **** COVID19 and UKVCAS Biometrics Appointments **** (ONLY discuss here)

Thank you very much, I will take all the originals with me.I take it that appointment confirmation can be shown in mob and a physical print out is not required ? You can. However the staff has to scan the barcode multiple times which is annoying for them if on mobile. Print out is recommended but y...
