Re: Tier 2 to skilled worker dependent extension

This is from the Skilled Worker page, which suggests dependents can still see out the remainder of their current visa before switching or extending. Apply from inside the UK (extend or switch their visa) Apply for your partner or child’s visa at the same time as you apply to extend or switch your ow...

Dependent/Partner evidence when switching to Skilled Worker visa

Hello, My partner and I are in the UK on an ICT visa (and dependent). I will be swapping to a Skilled Worker visa for a new role with my employer and I understand my partner will need to swap at the same time. Will we need to go through the same process of showing our relationship is genuine and sub...

Re: Procedure to raise formal enquiry with HO after standard process times

My partner is waiting on a dependent visa since November 2020 despite a 15-day standard processing time. We've paid to send off multiple follow up emails which were escalated, have tried calling and always met with a version of 'we'll get to it when we get to it'. We've also got an MP involved who i...

Re: Timeline standard for reassessment following administrative review

There is no stated service level for reconsiderations. There is an expectation, but no more than that, for recons to be undertaken in 30 days. The reality is they take whatever time it takes and is a consistent annoyance for those waiting for an outcome. There is also no surety that the refusal wil...

Re: Timeline standard for reassessment following administrative review

Hey, It’s now been almost 6 weeks since the administrative review was successful and my partner still hasn’t heard anything regarding his application. We’ve contacted Sitel multiple times who “cannot provide an update”. I’m moving to the UK without my partner in a couple of days to start my job whic...

Timeline standard for reassessment following administrative review

Hello, Does anyone know if there is a customer service standard for reassessing cases following a successful administrative review? For context, my partner applied for a PBS partner visa, was initially refused and has since had a successful administrative review. The application has gone back to the...

Re: Tier 2 Visa - Rejected - Admin review submitted

Hi AJo-04,

How did the rest of your process go? How long did it take to hear back from the original caseworking team to reconsider your application?

My partner is in the same process now and we have heard nothing.

Re: Administrative Review

Just an update that our Administrative Review was decided and they were satisfied the decision needs to be reassessed. It's gone back to the team to consider the application again. We're pretty quickly approaching the time when we originally stated we would be travelling to the UK (to align with my ...

Re: Administrative Review

We are civil partners - with a certificate, 100 pages of evidence, and listed specifically on the application and cover letter. The refusal letter says we didn't meet the unmarried partner requirements of living together for 2 years. We do live together, just not for 2 years continuously, and my und...

Administrative Review

Hey all, Received a Tier 2 PBS dependent application back with a refusal. There seems to be a clear mistake in not considering the supporting documentation correctly so we've lodged an administrative review which takes 28 days apparently. I'm curious for those who've gone through this, how long did ...

Appointment Dates for Biometrics

Hello, I've submitted a PBS visa application from New York and the earliest possible appointment time available for biometrics is end of December 2020, basically the same day as when I would be planning to travel. Seems weird that a backlog would be possible to that extent when you can only apply fo...

PBS Dependent visa - Entry Vignette

Hello,
For those who have completed a PBS Dependent Visa application, I’m interested to know when you have to enter the UK. Are you able to put a date of travel on your application with some leeway or is it a case of X months after the application is approved?
Appreciate any guidance :)

Entry Clearance for Tier 2 ICT

Hello, If I have a work start date of Jan 1st, 2021, under a Tier 2 ICT visa, how long before and after this date am I allowed to enter the UK? I've read that a visa vignette is attached to the visa which allows entry up to 14 days before the work start date? Also curious if that exists after the wo...

Civil Partner PBS Dependent Eligibility

Hello, Having some trouble interpreting the regulation around PBS dependent applications so would love to hear any advice or experiences of others! My same-sex partner and I are soon to be civil partners and I have been offered a job on Tier 2 visa in the UK starting in 2021. Having read the guidanc...
