He can not modify it if the application is submitted. The question clearly asks for “date of entry.” These little errors will not cause a refusal though so relax.
Date of entry should have been 15th Oct. However, you can start eligibility period from visa issue date. The time between should be added towards your total absence. But well, does not matter.
