UKVCAS called to tell I am ok to book my appointment

Hi, I submitted my application on Sep 22 and then heard nothing from either UKVI or UKVCAS about anything. No emails to even advise whether I should use IDV app or book an appointment were sent. I kept calling UKVI to escalate and asked my univ to do the same. No progress with any of our requests. E...

Re: Tier 4 student visa

Applied on Sep 22. No invite for IDV, no emails. No reply to escalation. Complete silence. I am literally pulling my hair out now.

Re: Travelling abroad from UK after submitting application

Yes, previous studies are complete. That visa is still valid and I have applied for extension for new degree. Can I travel on the previous visa or is it not valid anymore?

Travelling abroad from UK after submitting application

Hi,

I want to know if travelling abroad is allowed with an application sitting with UKVI, but previous visa still valid for four more weeks.

Advice appreciated.

Re: Biometric Reuse and IDV app email should be received within 28 days

Thanks for your reply. My university has encouraged me to escalate with UKVI at my end, while they chase it up at their end. It is a week's deadline, so not having any initial emails is way over the advised time. Our application seems stuck. I wouldn't mind the wait, but my partner needs to travel b...

Biometric Reuse and IDV app email should be received within 28 days

Hi, I was made aware today that any applicant should have received an email that informs them whether their biometrics can be reused or not and to download the IDV app within 28 days of having registered with the UKVCAS by UKVI customer representative. I want to confirm if this is true because previ...

Re: Tier 4 general

Hi, I applied for Tier 4 extension with dependents on Sep 22 from within UK. All docs uploaded on Sep 23 and complete silence ever since. They say wait times are 8 weeks when I called, even though it says on UKVCAS website that it is actually a week long. Dont know what to make of this. My uni conta...

Re: Number of days Tier 4 Dependants can stay abroad and current timelines

Please can you elaborate on your reply? I don't know which reply you mean, although they are both complete. Standard processing times for leave to remain applications are published on the Home Office website and easily found via Google. Hi, I meant when you said 'it depends on where you apply'.

Re: Number of days Tier 4 Dependants can stay abroad and current timelines

Is there any rule for the number of days dependants of a tier 4 student are allowed to live abroad due to circumstances beyond their control, in our case Covid. No. What are the current timelines like? I submitted my application on Sep 22 for Tier 4 extension with dependants and haven't heard anyth...

Re: request for quick response on visa application

The university has come back to me saying their contact at UKVI responded that I should hear from them shortly. That was on Thursday last week. Today, I complete 3 weeks of having submitted my application. No idea what is happening with my application.

Re: request for quick response on visa application

Hello You can try to ask the university to contact the Home Office. As a sponsor, they have a more direct contact and they could be able to make things move for you or at least trigger something. Once you lodge the application, they don't ask to see maintenance funds again. You can spend it if you ...

Re: request for quick response on visa application

There is no specific alternative document. You will need to provide evidence that even though you lived apart, your marriage was genuine and subsisting. Visits, snapshots of communications, ongoing shared assets, etc. The international student adviser at your university can give one-to-one advice a...

request for quick response on visa application

Hi, I have recently applied for Tier 4 extension along with my dependents. We applied on Sep 22, hoping to receive a decision within a week or two, but that hasn't happened. Now, I will need to start spending maintenance funds, as need to pay for accommodation, that too in bulk. How does that effect...
