Oh, I've no refusals and have received a Schengen visa twice before as well. Thanks!

What's the processing time for Schengen visas these days?

Hey everyone, I'm meant to be flying to Italy on the 16th of August. I managed to get an appointment at the Italian embassy for the 27th of July. For reference, I'm on a STAMP 4. On their website, they say to allow 15 days between the appointment date and travel date (not sure if they meant working ...

Re: Stamp 4 and working abroad

^^ Thanks.

Follow up: if I come back with my spouse after a couple of years, I can then apply for citizenship after 1.5 years as I'll have accumulated the necessary days spent in Ireland over 9 years, correct?

Re: Stamp 4 and working abroad

Adding a note: I received my Stamp 1G in June 2019, so can't apply for citizenship just yet.

Stamp 4 and working abroad

Hey everyone, probably need a lawyer for this one, which I will do soon. I have a Stamp 4 (via Stamp 1 Critical Skills via Stamp 1G via Stamp 2) that I received for the first time last month - it's valid for another two years. I'm also a visa required national for entry. I've also been in a relation...

Wondering how you got through to the Spanish embassy I try but all appointments booked and they don’t respond to emails
Honestly, I think I got very lucky. I refreshed for 10 minutes after finishing the application and an appointment popped up for the very next day.

Re: Less than 3 months on IRP, applying for Schengen visa

For anyone wondering, I ended up applying for the Spanish visa. My IRP expires early September, and I plan to travel in August. They gave me one year multiple entry visa. So the 3 months on IRP thing isn't set in stone.

I expected that - it's really disappointing.

Less than 3 months on IRP, applying for Schengen visa

Hey everyone, I'm meant to go to a wedding in August in Spain, but my IRP expires in September. I'm currently on a Critical Skills permit (Stamp 1) but will be switching to a Stamp 4 this September. I tried emailing BLS who handle the Spanish visa applications, but didn't get a response. Is it still...

Re: IRP extension until 2022 and travel abroad

As a follow up, I got the e-mail that my IRP has been processed and should receive it within 5-10 business days early last week. Still no sign of the card in the mail though - how long has it taken for people recently? I'm meant to fly Thursday but might have to put it off if I don't get it tomorrow.

Re: IRP extension until 2022 and travel abroad

I found this that INIS published today in case anyone else is curious. So no, can't travel. Really inconvenient. If you are a visa-required person and have an Irish Residence Permit (formerly GNIB card) which expired after 20th March 2020, your permission has been automatically renewed until 20th Se...

What’s your nationality and do you need a visa to enter Ireland and the UK?
Pakistani - I need a visa to enter both. I have a 2 year long UK visa so that's not an issue. It'd just be coming back that would be the issue I think.

IRP extension until 2022 and travel abroad

Hi everyone. I'm here on a Stamp 1 (Critical Skills) visa. My IRP expires early October - I've already applied to renew it. From my understanding, there's a bit of a backlog and it's taking longer for the IRP to be renewed. I have to go to a wedding mid October, and it's seeming unlikely that I'll h...

Not received my passport from INIS?

Hey guys, freaking out a little here. My application for renewal of my visa was approved Saturday, 3rd October. In the email, they said I’d receive my IRP within 5-10 working days, and my passport within 2-3 working days. I received my IRP on the 9th, but still waiting for my passport. I put in the ...
